  • We had a great experience renting from Vitali. The place is stunning beautiful with the most breathtaking views. It was very easy to get into the place as well as leaving. Reading some previous reviews, I have to disagree with some and agree with some. The bathroom tub drain is very slow to drain and I had to unplug it with my tweezers, pulling out lots of hair. Once I did that, it drained much better. The electrical outlets all worked, including the bathroom one (you just need to hit the reset button if it doesn't work on the first try). We had plenty of towels, as well there was extra bedding in the closet (even though you wont need it). The apartment gets very warm first thing in the morning from the morning sun, but if you shut the blinds and turn on the fan (it has a timer), you can make the place comfortable. There is only 1 stool at the counter, but I feel the place would be too crowed if there was another one. Yes, there is no balcony, but the roof top deck is only a short elevator ride up and the furniture out there is super comfy and the views are just as stunning. Andrey was great with communication and always a quick response was given. I would highly recommend this place and we will be renting again for our next trip to SF.

  • Vitali provides the ideal Airbnb experience: an attentive and helpful host with a clean and safe place to stay. But this unit takes home the prize for a magnificent view of the river and bay bridge and a cool rooftop area for casual drinks with friends. The key exchange was seamless and he was always a text message away. Beware: he replies fast!

  • Could not have asked for a better experience. Andrey was responsive, friendly, and helpful with food recommendations in the area. The listing was spotless and exactly as advertised. The views of the Bay are unbeatable. This (email hidden) for me to stay on my business trip to San Fran. I would definitely stay here again.

  • I am going to provide you with a detailed. accurate review of this place, since I didn't notice any below.
    There are TWO positives.
The VIEWS are as described. Lovely. The LOCATION is ideal for local activities/events, and why we booked it.

Now here's the rest of the story.

Upon arrival the room was about 80 degrees, even with window wide open. Local weather-typical for June, 66 degrees. Fan was not running. Wherein begins the issues. It wasn't plugged in because there's only 1 (occasionally 2) working outlets in the entire apartment. One needed to unplug the TV/WIFI to get it to work. There were NO WORKING OUTLETS in the bathroom. Trying to blow-dry and curl the hair in the hallway was a pain. (no mirror). So we had to ask for an extension cord, for use the following day. Bedside plug and lamp didn't work. Don't bother trying to charge your Cell without unplugging TV.

Towels; There were 2 worn out, scratchy bath towels provided on the kitchen counter. That's it. No hand or kitchen towels- no napkins. Had to use TP in kitchen. Fridge was streaky-soiled with fingerprints and dirt. Sinks and shower were scummy and both had very slow drains. (probably why they were scummy.) Garbage disposal; didn't work.

The worst (for me); Reasons I believe the BEDDING WASN'T FRESH was because the top 'comfort' pad was off (likely slid from someone who slept on previously) by 6 inches! The sheets were dark gray (easy to hide dirt?) and had little pills on them (old). Didn't smell fresh. Nothing did. The thin, dark coverlet had hairs and also pilled (ewwwww). Sorry, not acceptable for anyone. We paid a cleaning fee! So we slept with no covers. Which was fine since it never got below 80 degrees! With the fan on and window open.

Then there's the (dark gray imitation wood) floor. Do not walk barefoot! Like I did. Your feet will be black. He doesn't clean that either. I left a little sample where I wiped it in 3 places w/ tissue. Nasty. Along with a short note. Never heard a word back from him. There is 1 bar-stool. Really? So, eating-in was sitting on edge of bed with the tiny coffee table. No room in kitchen area to eat/sit together.

I must mention communication. Not good. After having a really hard time understanding him along with poor cell reception. (He is Russian so English is not his first language.) I said I preferred to email. He didn't respond much to email and preferred to call. So everything I said in email needed repeating when he would call.
Yes views are great, but for $250. a night, you know what else is important to me? The 3 C's! CLEANLINESS, CONVENIENCES, AND COMFORT. And those pretty views? You have to be IN the apartment to appreciate them. Not even a get-away balcony. So if those 3 C's aren't important to you? Then book it.

  • Neighborhood was great. View was amazing. Great experience all together.

  • Just as pictured and described! Andrey was very responsive to any inquiries we had during our stay, including dropping off a fan to help with the unusually warm weather. The neighborhood is safe and in the perfect location for walking to the Ferry Building and beyond. Watching the ships go by outside the window was our favorite way to spend the afternoon/evenings. We will definitely be back!
