An Enchanting Place:

We remember our magical vacations up north at the lake: fishing off the dock, swimming in the lake, playing lawn games with cousins, exploring the lake on the boat, and going to town for a fun dinner. All of these activities and more are available for you and your group to enjoy at The Wooden Spoon Lodge on Big McKenzie!

When we found this beautiful and spacious lake house, we knew it would be a perfect spot for creating family memories with our children and extended family.

We are so excited to share this enchanting paradise with families and groups who will come back for fun and relaxation year after year.

Amenities to enjoy:

-Use the comfortable living room as your hub for relaxing and connecting with your loved ones as you look out over the large yard towards the lake.

-Prepare a home-cooked meal in the fully stocked kitchen and dine together at the large dining table.

-Hide away in the beautifully decorated bedrooms with comfortable beds and lovely linens.

-Play games in the yard, Cornhole is our favorite!

-Gather around a campfire under the lakeside pine trees in the evenings.

-Glimpse a sunset at the lakeshore; catch bass, northern, walleye, and pan fish off the dock; and relax and chat under the pines while your kids play in the sand at the clear water’s edge. (Note: morning is shady at the shore, and afternoon is sunny.)

-There are just NO stairs to descend from the yard down to the lakefront, and the lakefront has plenty of room for sitting, a beach area, paddle boats, kid kayaks, and the dock.

-In the warm months enjoy tooling around the lake in our fun kayaks what a fun way to explore the lake, go swimming in the deeper parts of the lake, take a fishing expedition.

-Our lake is large and fully recreational. Sometimes you will feel as if you have the lake to yourself.

-In the cooler months, come for autumn colors and ATV rides, celebrate the holidays in a warm and spacious lake house, or make this chalet your home-base for snowmobiling and ice fishing.

-The hot tub is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful lake views while relaxing after a fun day of activity. It is especially magical in the winter months!

I live in Stillwater MN with my husband of forever and our two rescue dogs Milton and George. We have 3 adult children and we all love the cabin! My favorite thing is being a mother and cooking for my family. I love anything that has to do with dogs and work with a rescue in my spare time Coco's Heart Dog Rescue. I also sell Real estate in MN and western Wisconsin. My husband Rick has a lawn business and we love spending time together. xoxo
