About this listing

You'll fall in love with this historically cute carriage house and its perfectly strategic location! Walk to Statenkwartier and Scheveningen, bike or tram to The Hague Centre.

The space

You'll enjoy a perfect vacation or extended stay in this lovely and romantic free-standing historic coach house, located in the best neighborhood of The Hague, the elegant Statenkwartier (home to many international organizations, like ICTY, OPCW etc) which borders Scheveningen.

From the house it is only a short walk to both the beach of Scheveningen as well as the renowned Dutch shopping street "the Fred", and literally steps to the public transportation system that will bring you to The Hague center, and the train stations (e.g. Amsterdam in less than an hour).

The house is about 55 m2 and has the following layout:
1st floor) entrance, full bathroom (with washer/dryer), separate toilet, living room, equipped kitchen - Spiral Staircase to:
2nd floor) Bedroom with Queen size bed, closet space and access to sun-filled terrace. Enjoy the sun till later at night! The house has very high ceilings with original wooden beams, is fully furnished, and includes bed and bath linens.

Though the house is best suited for up to 2 guests, a convertible sleeper sofa in the living room can accommodate 2 additional guests.

The house is eclectic and unique, has an inspiring atmosphere and feels like home. Wireless internet and TV included. Older guests may want to consider whether they would feel comfortable using the spiral staircase to the bedroom, even though it is sturdy and safe.

Short or Long term rentals can be discussed.

This was my second stay this year in this house. So everything was very familiar. It was great to be back. The house is situated in an excellent location (which I know well) and is comfortable. Everything you need for a perfect stay is available, so really nothing to complain about! Upon arrival the house was nice and clean. Overall, I had a great stay!!

This nice old house is situated in the beautiful area "Statenkwartier" with impressive old houses and not far from the beach and harbour (walking distance approx. 15 min.). By tram you can easily get to the city centre in 15 minutes (or by bike). In walking distance there's also a nice but quiet street with shops, grocery stores, cafés and restaurants. We were welcomed by the friendly housekeeper, because Louise was travelling herself, but it was nice and easy to communicate with her via Airbnb before and during our stay - she quickly replied to all our questions, so even in absence she was a good host. The house itself is nice and cosy with wooden beams and ceiling, the bedroom is upstairs "under the roof" and has a nice balcony. However, you should be aware that it's an old house (though renovated), so you shouldn't expect modern interiors. The room the toilet is in (separate from the bathroom) is extremely small: sitting on the toilet, your knees nearly touch the wall which is not too comfy, but acceptable. The kitchen is small, but well equipped with gas stove, microwave/oven and all you need to cook. In sum, we liked it there and had a great stay in den Haag!

Thanks Doro, it was super to host you! Hope to have you back soon. Have translated your review here for those non-german speakers :-) " It was a great time in Louise's house . Small but it in a quiet side street near the beach ( 15 min walk ) and the roof terrace is a dream . We would have gladly stayed longer and will definitely be back soon! "
