We are located literally steps from Austin's hike & bike trail (starts in our cul-de-sac!), which winds along Lady Bird Lake to downtown. We are 1.5 miles from downtown and 3.5 miles from the ACL festival grounds. We are located in hip, eclectic East Austin- and are about a 10-15 minute walk from lots of coffee shops, bars, & restaurants.
Our garage apartment is super private, accessed by the alley behind our house. We'd love to host you!
Keeping noise to reasonable levels
The Haskell Studio was as described. It's located in the residential Holly neighborhood of East Austin, a few blocks from running/bike trails, restaurants, and bars. Its a compact space but well done and clean. I would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area again.
Jules and Lance, supplied us with information on how to enter the studio which went without a hitch!
The studio was exactly as pictured and totally met our expectations. Everything was in order and neat as a pin.
It is in an up and coming neighborhood with lots of character. We felt totally safe in all regards. The location is close to downtown. A short cab ride away. We like the eastside!
We had a great experience at the Haskell Studio. The place was even better than described - garage parking, comfortable bed, wifi, flat screen TV, and a mini kitchen with everything we needed (including a 2-burner stove.) The cot was set up in a very large walk-in closet that functions almost like a little bedroom. We didn't need it, but will keep it in mind if we need a place for 3 people. It's located in a really quiet up and coming neighborhood, about a 2-mile walk to downtown (and an inexpensive Uber ride back). We LOVED having the bikes to ride, and the place is absolutely right on a wonderful bike path that loops around Lady Bird Lake. We rode 2 out of the 4 days we were there, and walked the other two days. We really appreciated the recommendations on restaurants in the area, and Jules was quick to respond to any questions or requests.
Place was nice and clean and everything worked as expected. Roll out cot was surprisingly comfortable.
The studio on Haskell is exactly how it's described and was perfect for my stay in Austin. Very comfortable and less than a $10 uber ride to everywhere I needed to go for the weekend. Will definitely come back the next time I'm in Austin!
The Lamberts' Eastside studio was perfect for my 4-night stay in Austin. It was clean, bright, and nicely furnished. There was a private garage for my use, which made it easier to rent a car for getting around town. Also, I booked on pretty short notice and they were great about responding quickly. I'd be happy to stay here again!
I spent five nights in Austin with two friends, and the Haskell Studio was the perfect choice! I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the east Austin area. It almost feels like being in a treehouse, because of all the tree branches you can see outside the window. The beds are soft and cozy. The bathrooms and kitchenette are spacious and impeccably clean. It truly is RIGHT next to the bike trail, and Lance and Jules graciously let us use their two bikes, which was wonderful since we flew in and couldn't bring our own. They also made a great list of things to do and places to go that they keep in the studio, which we referenced often. We had a minor issue crop up with the air conditioner, and they were so responsive -- Lance had it fixed within hours while we were out exploring the city. He and Jules are wonderful, gracious hosts with a gem of a place to stay.
