The magic of this stunning cabin continues as you head outside to the expansive covered decks! Enjoy a morning coffee as you watch the mist rise off the mountains, take in a Smoky Mountain sunset from the comfortable Adirondack chairs or porch swing, or enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the mountains sparkle at night with lights from distant cabins. A large outdoor dining table graces the corner of the deck, where you can enjoy your meals by the glow of the sunset in the fresh mountain air. Finally, after a fun day of hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or enjoying the attractions of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, relax with a soak in your private hot tub. Please note that due to safety concerns, this cabin does not have an outdoor grill of any type.
🏘 NEIGHBORHOOD AMENITIES:
Skyland Ridge cabin is located in the beautiful and prestigious Shagbark Resort with 24-hour guarded gate entrance. You are invited to use the neighborhood’s seasonal pool (May-Labor Day), as well as the community areas including pickleball and basketball courts, small playground and pavilion, and frisbee golf practice tees. Or spend a summer afternoon wading in the beautiful creek that flows through the neighborhood.

Self check-in is super easy with the entry keypad. We will send you your door code a couple days before your arrival.
Other things to note
GUARD GATE:
This prestigious neighborhood has a 24-hour guarded entry gate, and you will be given a gate pass when you first arrive. Your reservation includes entry for 1 vehicle, or up to 2 vehicles for reservations 3 nights or longer. Access for additional vehicles can be requested in advance for $10 each.
NO GRILL:
For wildlife and fire safety reasons, there is NO outdoor grill provided at this property. Please plan accordingly as you make your meal plans.
MOUNTAIN ROADS:
The drive to the cabin is beautiful. The neighborhood is in the Smoky Mountains, and a short portion of the road to the cabin is extremely steep. There are slightly longer roads to the cabin that are a little less steep. Please use caution, especially when driving in winter weather.
NEIGHBORS:
The neighborhood is beautiful, wooded, and quiet, but our cabin is not isolated. There are a couple other cabins that can be seen from ours, and you may hear occasional noise from other guests, especially when you are outside. Please be courteous to our neighbors, just as we hope they will be for you.
LATE CHECKOUT:
We do not offer late check-out or early check-in. You have wisely chosen one of the premier cabins in the area, which means we stay booked constantly and need as much time as possible to keep things clean and tidy for all guests.
SMOKE FREE / PET FREE:
Smoking of any kind (including vaping and e-cigarettes) is not permitted in the cabin or on the decks. If you need to smoke, please do so in the parking area away from the cabin. Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted.
WILDLIFE:
The cabin is in the woods. You will likely see and hear critters, and maybe even spot an occasional black bear! Please keep trash in the bear-proof container, and do not feed wild animals.
WEATHER:
We do not provide refunds for circumstances outside our control, such as inclement weather, power outages, or natural disasters. We recommend you purchase travel insurance to protect against such unexpected disruptions.
