The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance to supermarkets, bus line and has on street parking available.
The small bedroom in our home is simple but includes your own large bathroom with tub and shower. The bedroom is south facing so, is bright most of the day. The futon is firm but topped with a gel/memory foam pad. Our street has somewhat heavy traffic, so when nights are warm and the window will be open, it can be audible to light sleepers.
Guests are welcome to share the kitchen and dining room . We are easygoing, and love to meet new people.
Interaction with Guests
We are all coming and going regularly but always hope to find an opportunity to visit with our guests!
Guests are kindly asked to smoke outside of the house and to eat only in the kitchen/diningroom. Beyond that we only ask that guests reciprocate in respectful language, noise level and cleanliness. Above all, have fun!
For Sunday reservations, check-in may not be available until 8:00 p.m.
Carolyn was a lovely host! She was very prompt with letting me know when I could check in, and when I called to inform her when I was arriving, she responded right away. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean and I slept great on the bed. I would highly recommend to any solo female travelers--I felt very comfortable.
Carolyn was there to meet me when I arrived. She showed me around the house, helped me with directions and even had a bus schedule in the desk drawer. Radical hospitality! yes, the space was exactly as described.
Carolyn was great. She was very good with communication (mostly texts). She made sure that I could get into the house when I arrived before she got home for the day. Her house is very nice, clean and quiet. Easy street parking. Room is normal sized and comes with a desk and a very comfortable bed! The bathroom is right across the hall and seems to only be used by you (basically your own private bath).
After the weather turned bad (hail and freezin rain) Carolyn was worried about my drive back to the airport and made sure I felt welcome to stay another night in case I couldn't get to the airport or make my flight.
Basically a great place to stay!
Carolyn was such a great host, she made sure I felt like home. The room is cozy as in the picture. The neighborhood is also great and is close to stores and transportation.
Carolyn made my first Airbnb visit wonderful! Ahead of time, she answered my many newbie questions and was accommodating and hospitable. She was there to meet me at our arranged time, gave me a tour of her home and made sure I was comfortable. She offered great directions to where I needed to go and was most respectful of boundaries and space. The house is great, the room comfortable (even equipped with a writing desk), the bathroom spotless and the kitchen open and airy. I was able to eat my dinner at the kitchen table, work on a knitting project and do a bit of reading. The bed was very comfortable too. It was just what I needed and I hope to return. I highly recommend Carolyn and this private room.
Carolyn, the host, was very welcoming and friendly. She made me feel right at home immediately. The house was very clean, in a safe neighborhood, close to public transport, and I got exactly what I expected from the description!
Carolyn was a fantastic host! Sadly, we did not get to meet due to conflicting schedules, but she left us a hand written note and was very responsive to text messages. We had everything we needed and were super comfortable. Carolyn's home is beautiful and I would absolutely recommend staying here!
I am a fun loving woman who enjoys meeting and getting to know new people. I work a split-shift for the local school district so am in and out of the house throughout the day.
I don't have pets so that I can pick up and go whenever the mood strikes. I like simple, clean food and good music, especially good dance music.
Non-smoking, I do enjoy a glass of wine from time to time. I like to read and watch a little TV, workout on my Nordic Trak skier and spend time with my boyfriend Ray who you may encounter. I also enjoy origami, knitting and crocheting and stained glass art.
My daughter is here some of the time and we have a roommate downstairs. We're in and out all the time but mostly pretty low key and fairly quiet.
