The space

We live in a shared apartment right in the center of Copenhagen. The location couldn't be better and the apartment has everything one might need. We really like our room, it's comfortable, bright and fun :) There is a shared kitchen where you can cook and use the refrigerator, and have some basic things like coffee and milk. The (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) are very friendly and can direct you if you need guidance. We also have two nice bathrooms with showers and heated floors! Very nice in the winter :)

Guest access

You'll have access to the bedroom, the kitchen, bathrooms, and utility room with washer and dryer. We have a shared living room as well, but sometimes we have guests staying in there, so it's not to be counted on.

Interaction with guests

I'll handle all interaction before you arrive, but my boyfriend Lasse will meet you with the keys and help you get settled in. After that, you can ask the other (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) if you need help/information, or write to Lasse or myself.

The neighborhood

Our apartment is right in the center of Copenhagen. (Nørregade, our street, is actually the oldest recorded road in the city!)
If you want access to all parts of town, this is a fantastic spot to be. You can bike almost anywhere in 10-15 minutes and can easily wander around the center by just walking from the front door. Grocery stores, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, clubs, clothing stores, museums... everything is right here :)

Getting around

This apartment is also super handy because it is only 200m (2 minute walk) from Nørreport Station, where you can get the Metro in Copenhagen (only 15 minutes to the airport!) and you can also get buses and regional trains.

The best way to explore Copenhagen is by bike, if you're up for it. There might be one cruiser bike here that you can use or else there is a bike shop next door that rents out bikes for around 75kr/10€ per day. You can ride anywhere in the city in approx. 15 minutes :)

Denmark has consolidated all public transportation onto one very useful app called (URL HIDDEN) which I highly recommend when organizing your travels within (or without) the city.

Other things to note

The only downside to the great location is that it can get noisy on the weekends. We have some extra earplugs for you, but if you are a light sleeper or can't tolerate earplugs, this might be something for you to consider.

I think if you're a seasoned traveler or generally "get it," when it comes to staying in anothers' home, then everything will be fine! :)

Molly

Hey there,

My name is Molly and I've ended up in Copenhagen from my hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, by way of London.

I studied Arts Management at university and worked for a few years with an arts organization in London straight out of university. When that opportunity ended, I decided to do some traveling and ended up at a højskole (traditional Scandinavian short-term boarding school) where I studied music and ended up meeting my now-husband, Lasse.

We've spent the last year-a-half traveling back and forth between Denmark and the US, saving money and working odd jobs along the way. We are both friendly, laid back people who try to always enjoy life and focus on adventure rather than competition. We like helping and meeting people, and hope that our room might be a nice place for the right people to stay while here in Copenhagen.

We're living in a very central apartment with several friends (the location couldn't be better) and will rent out our room while I go home for an extended holiday visit to the US. We are looking for friendly and respectful people to come and stay in our room while I'm gone. (Lasse will still be here to meet and help you, but I'll organize everything beforehand)

Copenhagen is a great city- all the perks of a European capital, but a fraction of the size, with amazing cycle and food culture. I would be happy to answer any questions or help you plan anything while you're here- I haven't lived too long in this city, but it has already gotten under my skin! 3
