We had a great one night stay at this accommodation. Irv and Jane were not here, but their son Stuart was a great host. The directions to find the house were good, and we were glad to find the house in the daylight. The house is lovely, our room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. Stuart gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Thanks so much for opening up your house for us.
We really enjoyed our time with Jane and Irv.
They were very hospitable and relaxed. We had a great time chatting over a drink and found their home very comfortable and interesting. My GPS made hard work of the exact location but once there, we were fine. They are in a very peaceful area with plenty of interesting locations nearby in Killyleagh and beyond.
Quite easy to find for a solo traveller, made to feel very welcomed, friendly and very helpful couple who couldn't do enough to make me feel at home. Beautiful house and surroundings, room spacious, clean and quiet. Slept well, good breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
I had the pleasure of staying one night with Irv and Jane. They went above and beyond with their hospitality, Irv was great with directions ensuring I got there with minimal fuss and that I was up in time the following morn. Jane cooked up a great chill con carne made with some lovely fresh vegetables from her garden. Lovely people and hopefully I will get the opportunity to return again.
Irv and Jane were very friendly and made us feel welcome.
The room was very comfortable and had it's own external entry.
There is plenty of great countryside, towns and villages to visit nearby.
I would certainly be happy to stay there again and am happy to recommend them to others.
Superb hospitality and wonderful accommodation. Irvine and Jane are a really lovely couple, very relaxed and friendly and welcoming. Irvine met us and guided us to his B &B as we arrived late at night. We were offered and gladly accepted refreshments! They designed the house themselves and it is very attractive, unique yet homely and interesting. Our room was perfect, very quiet, very comfortable with a lovely ensuite bathroom. French windows took up most of the wall facing the bed leading to a patio where we could sit and eat our breakfast and enjoy the view of mature trees and plants. It is a very beautiful location, handy for everything, with walks on the doorstep and villages, towns and the coast within easy driving distance. There was a hospitality tray with tea, coffee, cereal, bread, biscuits, marmalade, honey, fresh fruit and butter. Kettle and Toaster were provided in the room but we were offered the use of the kitchen and dining table in their sitting room too. We could keep to ourselves or use their facilities and enjoy good conversation, whatever we wanted was fine with them. We felt as if we had made new friends. We would definitely go back there. I highly recommend this B&B.
