My just renovated 62 sq.m. apartment is located on the first floor in old building in a silent and green courtyard a few steps from the beautiful Landwehrkanal at the border between Nord Neukölln and Berlin-Kreuzberg.
The apartment has high ceilings, wooden floor, fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, electric oven, boiler, toaster, coffe machine, moka machine, ironing board and iron bathroom with shower, a 160/200 double bed, a 90/200 single bed and a cozy 160/200 bedsofa, washing machine and dishwasher.
Free Wifi, TV with DVD player, radio. Fresh towels and fresh bed sheets are included. On demand computer, baby cot and bikes (6€ per day).
Final cleaning is 30€. We can offer you an extra cleaning during your stay for, 10€ per hour. In the apartment you'll find several information about Berlin, maps and guides and if there is anything missing, just let me know and I will try my best to take care of it. I live in the same building.
Public parking is available just in front of the building.
The apartment is located in the trendy scene rising at the border of Kreuzberg and Nord Neukölln (known as Kreuzkölln) in the middle of the multicultural Berlin scene. Few meter away from the charming Landwehrkanal. “Kreuzköln” is now really booming, with bars, cafes, galleries and restaurants opening almost every week.
The attractive Turkish takes place every Tuesday and Friday along the Canal where you can buy fresh vegetables, fish, meat or eating a delicious kebab watching one of the canal-side live jam sessions.
Three parks are within walking distance (including the former Historical Airport Berlin Tempelhof).
You will find all the public transportation that you need in order to get through Berlin. In 2 minutes walk you can reach the metro station U8, U7 and Bus M29 (which is quite special because it passes by the Jewish Museum, Checkpoint Charlie, the Martin Gropius Bau, Potsdamer Platz, the New National Gallery and the KuDamm).
There are many super markets in the area (Edeka, Lidl, Aldi, Karstadt in Hermanplatz (10 min away) a Bio LPG, many kiosks open all night long and many bakeries (one in the building!) cafes and a variety of international restaurants, for each taste and every budget.
Within walking distance from the apartment there are also design shops, vintage stores, book shops, galleries and boutiques.
The atmosphere in the streets of the multicultural neighborhood is very cozy, friendly and alive, much more real and beautiful of other parts of the city.
Here you can experience the real Berlin nightlife in bars and clubs, all in within walking distance: Weserstraße, Hobrechtstrasse, Ohlauerstrasse, Reichenbergerstrasse and Kottbussertor. And during the summer Club Der Visionäre and Badeschiff are really close.
There are lots of cinemas in the area that screen film in original language (many even open-air).
I'm sure you'll love it!
Information for visitors on Berlin’s hotel occupancy tax
What is being taxed?
As of 1 January 2014, the federal state of Berlin will collect a hotel occupancy tax on all overnight stays in hotels in Berlin. A “hotel” includes any type of short-term, paid accommodation, and the tax is due whether or not the hotel guest actually spends the night in the room.
If a room is reserved, but the guest cancels the reservation before arrival, the occupancy tax is not charged.
Who is liable for the tax?
The hotel is responsible for collecting the tax and passing it on to the federal state of Berlin.
How much is the tax?
The occupancy tax is 5% of the price of the hotel room (without extras, such as meals, items from the minibar, the use of hotel services and facilities not included in the room price, etc.).

Staying in Carla's apartment has been a great experience. The flat is spacious, comfortable and functional: you'll find everything you need, also thanks to the indications she created on purpose and hanging in the entrance. The area is also nice and quiet, you'll find some coffee places right out the door and a few restaurants of any kind. Transportation was also very easy to reach since the building is close a metro station that takes you directly to Alexanderplatz. This short vacation in Berlin will surely be reminded also because of this comfortable place.
Lovely, well-located apartment - would highly recommend.
Me and my boyfriend had a great stay at Carla's apartment. It was a huge space, very modern and clean! The bedroom was a large airy room with a very comfortable bed. The area the apartment is located in is amazing and in the few days we were there, we enjoyed exploring the Turkish market and the many shops and cafes. We had a delicious breakfast in the cafe right below the flat and a great dinner in Manuela's tapas opposite. So many great options for eating and drinking. It was also lovely being so close to the canal. Carla was great at responding to my many questions and everything went well with collecting the keys (we arrived very late). I'd recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in the cool part of Berlin, we had a great stay!
All well organized and the apartment in top shape. Thanks Carla, I will be in contact again for sure next time I am around in Berlin! Joerg
Loved our stay in Berlin for new years. The place is located with some amazing coffee shops beneath and great charactful bars within 5mins walk. Carla was great resposnding to texts and everything was very easy. The place was clean and fully equipped. Thanks for having us. A great experience
Perfectly located by the canal in Kreuzkölln. A lot of bars, restaurants etc nearby. There's actually a nice café and a cozy wine bar just next door. Apartment was clean, comfortable and quiet as it is located in a courtyard house.
I Did not meet Carla in person as she was out of town during our visit - but everything was handled very smoothly.
Great location, nice cafe right outside, clean and spacious apartment, carla was accommodating and available. Overall good time.
Great apartment with everything you need. Simply furnished with modern Ikea, comfortable, warm and relaxing. Wi-fi access worked straight away. Fantastic location with great cafes either side of the front door to the building and excellent boutique shops, cafes and restaurants within minutes walking distance. Great community feel to the area and Land Kanal a minute away and a great walk. Carla is a wonderful host. We used a couple of the recommended restaurants from her top tips list and had great meals. Thai and Tapas restaurant a few strides away also excellent. Banking facilities 5 mins walk and two U-Bahn and S-Bahn links nearby. Would definitely stay again and we loved Kreuzberg.
I really loved staying in Carla's apartment Kreuzkolln. The apartment was very close to heaps of cool bars, cafes and restaurants. It was light with big windows that opened up. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower had good pressure. Carla was wonderful to deal with. I would recommend this apartment to a couple, two best friends or a small group who want to spend some good quality time in the heart of Berlin's cultural district. Thanks Carla!
Great apt in a really fun location. Carla was very easy to communicate with and is a great host. She even has a drip coffee maker so you can drink real coffee! I would certainly stay again.
