This apartment is advised for 2 people who are looking for something central, clean and functional.
We had a wonderful stay at Fabrizio'a apartment. It was very clean and in a perfect location. We had everything we needed plus more. The kitchen was handy to cook our breakfast in. Overall we had a lovely time in Taormina only made better by staying at Fabrizo's apartment. Highly recommended.
Thank you for allowing me to stay in your apt. You were very helpful and your tip about parking in the lot downstairs was perfect since is really close to the apt. I made the trip down and up the stairs without problem.
This Apt is really well located in Taormina! It was very comfortable for me. It was my second trip to Taormina and again loved it. Is located right next to one of my favorite places to eat, Ristorante L'Arco Dei Cappuccini... Also other tip Try Osteria Nero D'avola, great food!!! Oh i miss eating in Sicily!
The flat was just as we expected by photos, nice and comfortable. The kitchen is small, but it didn't stop us from cooking because eating out inTaormina can be really expensive. There are small shops just around the corner and an awesome traditional sweets shop downstairs. We tried almost everything :)
NB At this time of season Taormina beaches are overcrowded, but wefound a nice spot in Giardini Naxos, and it's even cheaper to get there than to Isola Bella.
Studio apartment generally well equipped even has its own airdryer for clothes and great shower pressure. However, the kitchen was tiny not really suitable for cooking if you plan to save on cost of eating out. Great location a stone's throw away from Corso Umberto.
Nice, centrally located apartment in Taormina but 2 major downfalls
1. The Noise
Avoid if you're a light sleeper or even normal sleeper! Flat is on a main road with a steep incline so the constant noise from scooters and cars gunning it up the hill kept us awake for most of the night.
2. The Bed
A sofa-bed will never be a tempurpedic but this one is like sleeping on a chain-link fence. You can feel every metal spring digging into you back, so bad I ended up sleeping on top of all the blankets just for a bit of cushion.
We were supposed to stay for three nights but ended up leaving at 7AM after the first night and found a cute, quiet hotel in nearby Giardina Naxos 5 minutes from the beach.
Like I said, the location is really great but I wouldn't stay here if you plan on sleeping or spending much time in the flat.
I now understand why the refund policy is so strict, as I can't imagine we're the first to do that. The whole experience was very stressful, can't really recommend.
Fabrizio was super nice, even picked is up at the train station, something we really weren't expecting. The apartment is as expected and described by previous guests - great location, simple but efficient and confortable and a bit noisy at night. The only thing that we thought could be improved is the bed, which for us was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was great!
Me and my wife stayed at Odeon for 5 weeks in January/February 2013. The location is unbeatable, everything is around the corner. The room is clean and nice and even though the kitchenette is extremely small, you can still manage to prepare breakfast just fine.
Everything was great, looking forward to coming again in the future!
Fabrizio is very nice and helpful!! Although I didn't get to meet him, he promptly responded to my emails. The apartment is very central, cute and clean. It's small, but all we did was sleep there and shower! The bed is a pull out sofa, a bit too soft for me and my boyfriend. Since the location is very central it is noisy, day and night, so if you're a light sleeper, don't forget your ear plugs! Everything you would want to see in Taormina is walking distance from the apartment. Thank you Fabrizio! Ciao!
My boyfriend and I stayed in Fabrizio's apartment for 4 nights. Although it was a little cosy, it was perfect for 2 people.
Fabrizio was very helpful and although we had to delay our arrival by a couple of hours due to a delayed flight from Rome when we got to the apartment at 10:30pm someone was at the door waiting to give us keys.
The best part about the apartment is the location. It is right next to the Messina Arch and the main street of Taormina, a short walk to the cable cars which take you right down to the beach and in close proximity to taxis and buses should you require them ( we didn't as the apartment was pretty central).
We are pretty big foodies, and for anyone that has watched the television show Cake Boss, the apartment is literally next door to pasticceria D'Amore, featured on the show. It has the best cannoli's in town. Definetely a plus.
The only negative comment i have is due to it's central location it can be a bit noisy at night. In saying this I am a very light sleeper and most places are too noisy for me.
Overall we had a fantastic experience in the apartment and would recommend any of our friends visiting Taormina to stay there.
