The neighborhood

The Costa del Sol (Coast of the Sun) is surrounded by the Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranean Sea. The long coastline has many sheltered beaches, interspersed with bays with crystal clear water. This stretch of coast of the province of Malaga, located in the Autonomous Region of Andalusia, one can enjoy the warm waters of the mediterranean sea.
The Costa Del Sol has a unique subtropical climate in Europe. For both snowbirds and sunbathers and naturists the Costa Del Sol is the perfect setting. The sun shines more than 340 days a year and provides an average temperature of over 20° C. In winter the temperature rarely drops below 12° C. and the daytime temperature is usually around 17 ° with offshoots to 20° -23°. In the summer a gentle sea breeze offers sufficient coolness. Thanks to this mild climate, on the gently sloping hillsides and in valleys grow all kinds of tropical fruit which constitutes one of the main resources of this region.

On the Costa Del Sol are everywhere towers and fortresses that once served during the Arab domination as lookouts. The historical importance of this region can be found in the villages which all enjoy high-quality tourist facilities with charming restaurants where you can spend a memorable and affordable holiday. As a visitor, you have a choice: the quiet sunbathing on small beaches with crystal clear water and strolling through the streets of authentic villages like Frigiliana and Torrox or to the practice of exciting sports such as diving, kite surfing or paragliding. There are many interesting places to find on the Costa Del Sol for example; Torrox, Málaga, Cómpeta, Nerja and which offer a variety of tourist attractions, from water sports to excursions to the green countryside.

Near the Costa Del Sol are also remarkable enclaves such as Las Alpujarras, the last Moorish stronghold on the Iberian Peninsula. Cities like Granada with the Alhambra and ancient villages such as Torrox Frigliana with centuries-old streets, make history and Andalusian culture perfectly reflected. Day trips to Gibraltar and Tangiers in Morocco are here to do just fine. Far from advancing mass tourism Torrox shows a paradise where you can enjoy fresh fish, fresh fruit and vegetables, and where you as a full member of the community can participate in the traditional fiestas that every spring, summer and autumn are celebrated.

• Once, during one of my Initiations at a Sacred Fire. I've been asked by one of my teachers, for my contribution as a Shaman. I asked the Spirits for advice and they whispered to me the greatest contribution I could make, and with that their greatest and most precious gift to me,

"I am".

• Shamanism for me is a way of life, a state of being, I am Shaman... We, my family and me, are Métis People, descendents of the Cree People of Canada. It's in my blood why I've always been fascinated by the ways of Spirit and the Medicine Peoples. I am Serpent, Jaguar, Hummingbird and Eagle. I am Shaman.

• After being "struck by lightning" three times, I experienced a rebirth and a full recovery. A new path had to be discovered. As Serpent I had to shed my attachment to my personal past, the way the Serpent sheds her skin, took the lessons from my experiences so I didn't have to keep repeating them, transformed my deepest wounds into sources of power and compassion to fuel my journey and reinvent my life. Now it is time. Time to come out of the dark, to step into my life. Time to step into who I truly am, into my destination. Time to step into the light, fully present.

I am Shaman. I am.
