Sunny, furnished, studio apartment on 3rd floor of an elevator building in Monteverde, walking distance to Trastevere and 10-12 minute tram ride to the historic center. Stazione Trastevere is only several hundred meters away with regular trains to and from DaVinci/Fiumicino airport (apprx. 30 minute ride). Apartment is on a busy street in the center of the city which means some noise, but also very well connected via public transportation to anywhere you want to get to in Rome (tram #8 goes goes right to the historic center in about ten minutes). Apartment consists of a small eat in kitchen, bathroom with shower/mini-tub, living-room/bedroom which can sleep up to three people (queen-size sofa bed and single fold out ottoman, all very comfortable), and access from the stairwell to the communal terrace on the top floor. Towels and bedding are available for an extra charge of €20. (For long term rentals there is no extra charge for towels and bedding.)
Absolutely no smoking.
Student friendly, but please be aware that this is not a party building. The other residents are quiet elderly couples and famlies. Please only respond to this posting if you can respect the residential nature of this building.
It is expected that the apartment be left in as close to the same condition in which it was found as possible.
I was born in Italy but then grew up outside of Manhattan. I went to New York University and studied theater. I then stayed in the city and worked Off Broadway, Off Off Broadway, in tours, and in regional productions. In 2007 I decided to take a break from that life and came to Italy "for a year". Instead I met my husband and ended up staying. I am now training in opera as a lyric soprano, tutor English from home, and am a freelance translator. Oh, and I'm also a new mom!
