The Space

THE HOUSE OF SWEET DREAMS

Hi, and welcome! I'm Andrew, Glad you found my listing! Here is a list of all the useful info about my house:

**Pricing Fluctuates During Seasons/Holidays $35 is base price**
***This house is in typical New Orleans style; a "shotgun house" where some rooms share a door, so you will potentially have us walking through the room at some point during your stay.***

"Le Peach Parlor" is decorated as an environment for you to feel welcome and at home. On your bed will be your own home made book of things to do, places to eat, amazing things to see, and everything you never knew existed here.

In the bedroom, you can control your own heating / cooling.

This listing is for a full sized loft bed with staircase, in the "living room".
You have privacy curtains in the loft for sleeping late and being more comfortable. There is plenty of storage space in the loft for your belongings. In the room, you can control your own heating / cooling.

I am totally flexible and available to accommodate any check-in or check-out times. However, for regularity sake I suggest:
Check in after 3pm
Check out before 11am
Also note that on Monday and Tuesday you're welcome to check in anytime after 3pm but we can't guarantee the room will be clean until 6:30pm, but please come and make yourself at home :) take out the bikes, or lounge around, thanks again and see you soon!

Guest Access

All Air Bnb guests use their side entrance to the house.

The Room:
-Air Bnb guest's side entrance
-Full sized Loft bed
-Fully equipped (shared) kitchen + bathroom
-Wi-Fi
-Free Bike Use
-Free Parking
-10 minute bike ride/30min walk to French Quarter!!

Interaction with Guests

There are three rooms in the house, The two Air Bnb Rooms and My friend Amanda's room who lives in the front of the house and uses the front door (you use the side door to the right of the house.)

Amanda is simply a tenant whom you share the house with, if you need anything I am usually around or just a phone call away and am always available to provide as much guidance, or as much privacy as you desire. Think of me like your 24 hour concierge! I love to get to know people and give you a New Orleans experience that is relevant to what you want to see and do here, even things that you had no idea even existed...

The Neighborhood

The house is in the Historic "Esplanade Ridge" Close to the "French Quarter/Bourbon St." Downtown and the Historic Marigny Neighborhood/Frenchman Street
A quiet and safe neighborhood where we know all of our neighbors and everyone looks out for one another, with families and young entrepreneurs dotting the area with eclectic bars, eateries and shops. The house is just a few blocks away from the fairgrounds, coffee shops, several good restaurant, and a small grocery store. A couple more blocks and you (email hidden) John, The New Orleans Museum of Art and City Park! The Superdome is a 10 minute bike ride away and only 1 mile to the French Quarter down beautoful Esplanade Ave.

Commonly sought after attractions within 2 miles of the house are: Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, Superdome, French Quarter, Louis Armstrong Park, City Park, DBA, Cafe du Monde, French Market, Spotted Cat, Cafe Negril, Blue Nile, The Maison, Apple Barrel, Coop's Place, Mardi Gras Zone, Mimi's in the Marigny, All Ways Lounge, and the Bywater, Marigny, 7th Ward, and Treme neighborhoods.

Getting around

I recommend using our Free bikes to get around the area, New orleans is a small enough city geographically you can get virtually anywhere by a short bike ride!

Other Things to Note

No pets please, Allergy concerns. thanks :)

  • This was my first time with airbnb and the experience was great! I stayed at Andrew's place for just a day and it is very conveniently located. I did not meet him but he always responded to texts. The place is clean and well maintained and it was a good non hassle experience.

  • Awesome place to stay! Within walking distance (30mins) of basically everything. Room was clean and nice and cool. Definitely recommend staying here.

  • Andrew was a very helpful host and the house was great, clean and functional. The bikes are a huge bonus. I got mauled by ants while sitting in the hammock but it was worth it!

  • It was my first trip with rbnb and it was great! I had many questions to Andrew and he answered all of them!!... :) The room was clean and the free bikes were great! You can reach all places by bike and see a lot from the neighborhood and the city. We wanted to stay for some more days in New Orleans and Andrew arranged a new room for us and so we met him in person. He was very friendly and dedicated! All in all it was a nice trip and a great experience!!

  • Andrew was a very good host. The booklet he gives to all his guest was very helpful as I did not really prepare that trip. His recommendations were great. He also let me leave my suitcase and borrow the bike the day I checked out (check is at 11am). I really appreciated that. I would definitely recommend the place which was clean and quiet.

  • The house was really comfortable. The room had air on which was great because it was hot! And having the bikes was great. The 7th ward is a really up and coming area, it's close to the French quarter and Bywater is groovy. If you a girl travelling alone, expect to possibly get taxis at night, just because of a few shady areas. Great and affordable otherwise.

  • Cute place! Had a good time!

  • the parlor was awesome. the bed was a cozy sleeping space, everything was really clean, i could control the AC, and the front room tenant was very quiet. I got to use a bike the whole time i was in town. Good all around.

    June 2014
  • The place had easy directions to understand, and I arrived without any hiccups. If you don't have a vehicle, the bikes available to guests make it easier to get to restaurants in other neighborhoods too!

  • Andrew's place was clean, fun, and convenient to where I needed to be in New Orleans. It was the perfect place to come back to in the afternoons and hang out. There was another resident who has to walk through your room to get to her room but if you're willing to share, it's no problem at all. Having a third guest in the back bedroom all gave me some sense of community while staying in New Orleans on my own. Affordable, unique place to stay of you don't want the same old same old. The guide Andrew leaves you is very helpful and the bikes are a fun way to get around as well. Definitely worth checking out.
