What do you get when a theme park designer and a Hollywood set decorator design an Airbnb? A speakeasy in the basement of their 1908 house, of course. Come and take in the charm of Echo Park from this period underground apartment.

The space
This studio is well-lit with 5 windows, including some views of the Hollywood sign and Griffith Park. It has clean, finished concrete floors with a small modern kitchenette. The bathroom has all new fixtures with period tile. Best of all is the wonderful, large backyard where you can have breakfast under a 40' pecan tree and take in the view of the Hollywood sign.

Guest access
You will have full access to our backyard, grill, and bricked-in porch. In addition, the apartment has its own secure access with private entrance.

Other things to note
Although we're busy and get up at 6am, you'll have plenty of company from our 2 kitties who lounge about all day in the backyard. If you are allergic to cats, this might not be the place for you.

Neighborhood highlights

We live on the cusp of Silverlake and Echo Park, two of the hippest neighborhoods in LA. We are central to everything in the city and live right off the 101 freeway. Downtown is 5 minutes drive, Hollywood is 15, West Hollywood is 20 and the beaches are only 30 minutes away. Sunset Blvd and many of it's restaurants and shopping are a 5 minute walk down the street.
