The street is quaint and I love my neighbours.
The really busy, trendy area of Monti is about a block away so we are really lucky to be in a quiet spot minutes away from the action.
I love all the action, little coffee bars and eateries, boutiques and artisans ... above all great food to be had !
We are spoilt. The Metro is at the end of our road. The stop is CAVOUR and the next stop south of us is COLOSSEUM. Hard to beat this location. The Forum is 5 minutes on foot and the main train station 15 minutes on foot OR take the metro North 1 stop! Buses and trains connect to the station TERMINI.
Other Things to Note
As I am an artist and very flexible I have planned changes to the apartment which gives me maximum flexibility to host but also to work as an art therapist. We have added a kitchenette cupboard to the sitting room, it will become functional as of mid September 2014. New photos to follow.
No Smoking indoors.
Turn all electrical appliances and lights off when you go out.
What a wonderful experience in Rome thanks to the hospitality of Joanna and Sebastian! The apartment was well appointed and in an excellent location very close to the metro as well as local shops. The Monti neighborhood was quaint and had some of the most wonderful restaurants! Our personal favorite was the Drunken Cow which had consistently great meals. I would highly recommend staying in Via Cavour apartment on your visit to Rome!
Very nice Hostess! And very clean and nice Apartement, (as advertised). The apartement is very central but nevertheless very quiet! I would go back anytime!
Joanna's townhouse was great!! Exactly as described and pictured. Bed was comfortable, room was dark. Clean bathroom and kitchen facilities. Joanna was a great host, had plenty of recommendations of the local areas (eating as well as sightseeing) guide books and maps to look through. She was very welcoming!! Close by the train station, we walked to get there, once there all the sights are walking distance. Very convenient location. Would definitely recommend staying here!!
We just had to come back to Rome in order to stay once more at Joanna's beautiful apartment in the great Monti area. Super equipped, cool and quiet location. A perfect choose we can recommend highly to all. Joanna is the perfect host and we are so happy to have found her.
My niece and I spent three nights in this wonderful apartment. The apartment was a 10 minute walk from the Forum, and there was a metro down the street. Via Cavour nearby was a great place for gelato and pizza. We really felt like we got the local experience.
The apartment was clean. Joanna had it set up with a bed in the living room for my niece. we were able to cook dinner one night and had breakfast in twice. T here was a stove, microwave, toaster and refrigerator. There is a coin laundry about a seven minute walk away.
Joanna had a lot of maps and guidebooks available, and a collection of all the material you need to know such as info on museums, the metro, airport transfers and suggested restaurants.
We would definitely stay there again.
We (3x adults, 1 toddler) had the pleasure of staying in Joanna’s apartment for 5 nights. Communication with Joanna throughout the whole process was easy, quick, and helpful. Joanna was not in town when we checked-in, but we were greeted and given a tour of the apartment by her husband. The checking in and out process went smoothly. Apartment is a 1 bedroom ( contains a double bed), an open plan layout including a small kitchen, dining, and living area which can accommodation a single bed and a traveller’s cot if needed. The apartment would be more suited for a couple with 1 or two young kids. The bathroom and toilet entrance is in the main bedroom so access to the shower or toilet would require walking into the main bedroom, this could be a privacy issue (walking in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom) if there were other adults staying in the apartment. There is a lush green garden, as well as big sitting area, in the private courtyard which we enjoyed having after a long day’s walk through the hustle and bustle of Rome. The neighbourhood seemed safe. Location is convenient, 2 mins walk to a supermarket, 5-10 mins walk to the Colosseum and station. It was a good base to explore Rome. Thank you Joanna.

About the Host, Joanna
Artist through and through and a big fan of the city I live in. Am a British national but have lived and travelled in many parts of the world. I still love to dapple with paint, do life drawing as a hobby. I am an Art Therapist (A.T.I) . Mother of three wonderful individuals has turned me into an enthusiastic cook and listening to music while in the kitchen relaxes me and gets me the best results.
The eternal city is a daily feast for my eyes and I'm enthusiastic to share it all and make it an experience that you'll want to repeat.
