  • We really enjoyed staying at Joannas place and her hospitality! Everything was perfect: the spacious, well-equipped and super clean apartment, the location (it's no big deal to even walk to most of Rome's attractions) and the near surrounding - nice restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, alimentari. Also close to Termini station.

If you want to have a real relaxed stay in Rome, book this place

  • Wonderful apartment in a great location, about 10 min walk from the Colosseum and only 2 minutes from the Cavour metro. Also 2 min from a supermarket as well. Everything was exactly as described, and Joanna the host is really lovely, and has prepared maps, information on restaurants and sightseeing, and happily answered all our questions. She also has an amazing book collection, which you can read out on the private patio if you'd like. And the bathroom is amazing! I will be recommending to all our friends going to Rome. Thank you!

  • We had a great experience in Rome and at Joanna's flat!! Our flight got in early in the morning and we got a ride right to the door of Joanna's place even earlier then we thought we would. Joanna was so gracious and offered us a cup of coffee in her place and let us keep our bags there so we could start our exploring.

The flat was very comfortable. The bathroom was good size with great water pressure in the shower(very important!) Bed was super comfortable. Nice to be able to make coffee before our day. The neighborhood is great too. Places to eat, drink, shop, and metro just a couple of blocks away. Not to mention the Colosseum!! Joanna is very helpful if you have questions about anything.

  • My parents stayed here for 4 nights and loved it. They couldn't believe how close it was to the sights and said that there were plenty of nice shops and bars nearby.

    They couldn't recommend it enough!

  • Aldo and I stayed here for 5 nights during our visit to Rome. We LOVE-LOVE-LOVE Joanna's townhouse. If you are coming to Rome, do yourself a favor and stay here. The townhouse is fantastic!!! It's very clean, for starters. And that's something I'm very picky about. And every corner of this place was clean and tidy. It was spacious with a separate bedroom, kitchen and living area. To me, there is no comparison to staying in a hotel. This is such a better option over any hotel. The kitchen was great; functional and stocked with what we needed to do some cooking. The townhouse is totally private with a separate entrance from the street and access to Joanna's beautiful courtyard/garden area. We felt like we were living like temporary locals. The internet worked great, too, which was much appreciated.
Now for the (email hidden)'s FANTASTIC! It's right by the metro stop, Cavour. It's walking distance to Termini Station (Metro-Train-Bus-took us 10 minutes) Two minutes down the street there is a grocery store...around the corner is a laundry...there are plenty of restaurants and spots for gelato nearby. And, the Colosseum is walking distance, too. When we first got there, we walked down the street (Cavour) and we looked to our left at one of the streets...and there was the Colosseum, plain as day.
I can't say enough good things about this townhouse and our visit here. It exceeded our expectations. If I come back to Rome in the future, I would definitely want to stay here again, no question.
Do yourself a huge favor and stay here.

    Response from Joanna:

Thank you Justin and Aldo for coming to stay!! You were wonderful guests to have!
We really appreciated your leaving the list of vegetarian restaurants for our future guests in our home made guide book.
Should there be a next time we hope it will be in warmer months so that you can enjoy the garden to its fullest .... and then we might share a drink and a little time together.
All the best to the both of you, Joanna

  • We had an excellent stay in this very homey apartment. Its location is prefect -- just a block away from great restaurants and markets. And, Joanna was a great host providing recommendations for the neighborhood, a comfortable and homey apartment and even a fridge stocked with the basics.

  • when in Rome ....
lovely town house in an old part of the city, close to the colosseum. Neat and tidy place. Experiencing how it would be to actually live in Rome. I'd recommend to to any couple

  • This was a great place to stay. Fantastic location, very central but in a quiet, pretty street. The apartment itself is ideal, with character but also comfortable and looking onto the wonderful garden in the heart of the city. Would definitely recommend it and love to return.

About
Artist through and through and a big fan of the city I live in. Am a British national but have lived and travelled in many parts of the world. I still love to dapple with paint, do life drawing and am working to finish a masters in Art Therapy (A.T.I) . Mother of three wonderful individuals has turned me into an enthusiastic cook and listening to music while in the kitchen relaxes me and gets me the best results. The eternal city is a daily feast for my eyes and I'm enthusiastic to share it all and make it an experience that you'll want to repeat.
