Muy buena estadía. Hermann fue un excelente anfitrión
Hermann was a super host. He and I communicated semi-regularly before my arrival in Mexico City. He offered spot on recommendations, including the weather report and proper attire to deal with Mexico's rainy summer months.
His place is beautiful! The location is just a few blocks to El Angel de Independencia--also called the Reforma (El Paseo de la Reforma). The American Embassy, a wide range of restaurants, retail shopping, and bars (mostly gay) are within a seven minute walk from the apartment.
I was delightfully surprised that on Thursdays, the housekeeper picked up my dirty laundry and returned it the next day, clean, and folded.
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with the basic utensils you need to prepare a meal for yourself and a few others. It also has a balcony that looks out on to a quiet street (except not-so-quiet during the weekdays).
Television with hundreds of channels! DVD player. Wifi has good, speedy service.
The shower has awesome pressure. Three spigots! Loved that!
Without a doubt, when I return to Mexico, Hermann will be my first outreach.
I can not say enough great things about this place. Hermann's attention to detail in the apartments within his units are such a great welcome, I instantly felt at home. Having lived in Mexico City before, I always missed the comforts of living that I have grown up accustomed to. This place has it all. Location, details, comforts, security, quality living and the space has everything and anything you would ever want and need. The building is just a few blocks from Reforma which is a main thoroughfare full of businesses, restaurants, shops and cafes. The apartment couldn't be any more safe or secure and the location is prime.
Hermann is the most gracious and wonderful host. He is always available, kind, knowledgeable and took great care & planning of these suites. He is worldly and he understands what people want and need in order to feel as if they are home.
I adore this place and plan on staying for several months in my transition back to living in Mexico City. My moving back was stressful but finding this gem makes me very happy! Highly recommended!
Hermann was a terrific host. I arrived relatively late at night and was greeted by both the doorman and by Hermann himself, and was brought into the beautiful lobby and right up to my room. The rooms are very nicely decorated and have everything that you need to cook, relax and feel comfortable. The TV has the option on many channels for English, and is located in the bedroom. The bathroom was clean and stocked with towels, along with some body wash and other small things. There was a cleaning service and laundry service provided in the fees which was very helpful. I cooked a few breakfasts and dinners in the kitchen, very bright, open area to work in. The location of these suites is also very nice, as they are a very quick walk away from the Angel of Independence Monument on Reforma, which is a great area for tourists to get on the bus tours, and feel safe to wander as it is a busy, developed area. I do not recommend eating at Asadores, which is a mexican restaurant about two blocks away, I believe it is on Rio Balsas. I received food poisoning from there on one of my last nights (my stomach was also very well adjusted as I was eating local cuisine for a week already). This was a rather uncomfortable way to end the trip so I would make sure to ask for recommendations before trying just anything you run into. All in all, Hermann offers a very comfortable and modern accommodation, and I recommend his business suites for anyone travelling to Mexico City.
