The Space

This is a small bedroom in my home with a comfortable futon bed (full size), chest of drawers, night table and built in shelves. It has a small fridge in the room. If you need more fridge space you can use the one in the kitchen and you are welcome to use the kitchen for cooking. There is free wifi for your use. I provide you with a continental breakfast with coffee or tea.

You share the bathroom with me. You have shelf space to leave your bath stuff out. I provide towels and washcloth.

The house is in a quiet neighborhood in the S.E. part of town, close to the airport and about 8 minutes by car to the hip Nob Hill area, full of restaurants, shops and a hopping night scene. Other places and distances are:
Old Town - 8.9 mi (18 minutes)
UNM - 4.1 mi. (10 min)
Uptown Shopping Mall
and I40 access - 2.6 mi. (8 min)
BioPark - 6.8 mi (16 min)
Sandia Tramway - 14 mi (30min)
There might be space for one car in the driveway and there's safe on-street parking.

I'm more than happy to tell you about all the great day trips around Albuquerque and things to do in town. It's my pleasure to be a positive part of your stay in the Land of Enchantment.

  • The listing is exactly as it states. A cute simple room in an artist's home with a shared bathroom. The energy is great. The room had plenty of space for me and was not too hot or too cold. Judith was very welcoming and then we did not see much of each other. I was busy she is busy.

  • The room was basic and fine. I was there only briefly - on my way in and out to the airport. Judith was accommodating but busy with her life and in and out. I was given a key so I could come and go - which was nice.

  • Judith was a great host. She is very laid back, relaxed and friendly. Her house is super cute filled with beautiful, colorful artwork and the room is a great deal for the price. She had coffee and bagels for me to enjoy in the morning. Judith (email hidden)ly, vibrant person and her place is very comfortable. I definitely recommend it if you are planning to stay in Albuquerque!

  • Judith was a fantastic host! We were only there for a quick pit stop on our way through town, but she gave us a good recommendation for a place to eat and hang out for a couple hours. She also left us a terrific bagel to send us on our way in the morning. Thanks, Judith!

  • Judith was a very friendly and welcoming host. She was happy to let me have my own bathroom because she didn't have a guest in the ensuite room, and she offered me filtered water that she purchased.Bed was comfy and neighborhood was quiet. Thanks Judith!

  • Judith is a lovely hostess - very friendly, a professional artist and very knowledgeable about the area. Her beautiful colorful artworks adorn the walls. It is a cheerful, sun filled home and close to public transportation.

  • We took a short trip to Albuquerque and needed a place to crash for one night. Before arriving we saw so many cool looking adobe homes and wondered what they looked like inside. To our pleasant surprise Judith's home was an adobe home - and it was lovely inside! Hardwood floors, lots of natural light and beautiful artwork!

Judith was laid back and super friendly. She made sure we were comfortable and gave us some good tips on the area. She's also knowledgeable of nearby Santa Fe and Taos.

The location is convenient, as it's easy to access the Nob Hill neighborhood and the airport, with ample parking if you rent a car.

We would definitely stay here again. Great value!

  • Cozy bed, nice room -- quiet, comfortable, clean, pleasant. And convenient. Plus lively art work on the walls. A fine stay. Thanks.

About
I moved to New Mexico many years ago from San Francisco. As an artist, I was drawn here because of the light and the natural beauty. I keep busy working in my studio, showing my work at art markets and teaching part-time. In addition to painting, I love being outside in nature, swimming, reading, gardening, yoga, dance and travel. I speak Spanish, Greek (badly) and am learning French. I love hanging out with friends and look forward to making new friends through airbnb.
