We had a great visit to Saltspring. The cottage is clean, comfy and cosy. We felt instantly at home and enjoyed the games, garden and going down to the beach. This is a great cottage for couples and families alike. We will hopefully be back soon. Thanks Jen, Steve, Jilly & Marin :-)
The cottage was exactly as advertised, very clean, cozy, with a well stocked kitchen with lots of cooking implements. The patio and garden are lovely and the beach access is great a 3 minute walk down a lovely path. the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. We had dinner at the nearby restaurant at Vesuvius ferry terminal which is within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this home. It is totally great. thanks!
Would visit again in a heartbeat! Thoughtfully and abundantly stocked (kitchen, towels, bedding, games), spacious, cozy, and sunny. Quiet location with easy access to the beach, large deck space, and lots of seating.
Great cottage, close to the beach. Very welcoming and bright.
Kathy was really great at being in touch about arrival etc... and was accessible if any issues came up, which didn't! The cottage is spacious and cozy with very comfortable beds. It was a lovely place to spend a few days.
The kitchen was well equipped and the sky lights offered lots of light even on cloudy, rainy days. The view of the ocean is great but is only available on the deck - which we didn't have much use of due to the rain. When the sun came out the walk to the beach, the beach itself and the cottage were great. Unfortunately the massive amount of fruit flies made having any food or drinks out a nuisance. The beds could be better - especially for those of us that are getting older....
All in all a good value for the price.
Hi Carole, Rob and I were at the cottage on Saturday and Sunday. There were fruit flies on Saturday so I spent most of Sunday cleaning and thought I got rid of them all. It is weird though how they suddenly show up.
I have never had one complaint about the beds before. It's unfortunate you were uncomfortable.
About the Host, Kathy
I am a Self-employed interior design consultant and mother of three. My husband and I enjoy the relaxed life on Vancouver Island where we can hike, bike, and kayak almost year round. Vesuvius beach is a relaxing place to go for our family. As soon as you step on to the island you are in a slower paced world.
I love to garden, but the deer eat everything here unless you have a seven foot fence, so I've gone to the easy care alternative of learning to paint them instead.
