Also note that you're welcome to check in anytime after 3pm but on some days Amanda works later than 3pm so we can't guarantee the room will be clean until 6:30pm, but please come and make yourself at home :) see you soon!
All Air Bnb guests use their private side entrance to our house.
-Air Bnb guest's private entrance

There are three rooms in the house, The two Air Bnb Rooms and My friend Amanda's room who lives in the front of the house and uses the front door. All Bnb guests use the side door to the right of the house.
Amanda is simply a tenant whom you share the space with, but I am just a phone call away and am always available to provide as much guidance, or as much privacy as you desire. Think of me like your 24 hour concierge! I love to get to know people and give you a New Orleans experience that is relevant to what you want to see and do here, even things that you had no idea even existed...
The house is in the Historic "Esplanade Ridge Neighborhood" Close to the "French Quarter/Bourbon St." Downtown and the Historic Marigny Neighborhood/Frenchman Street
A quiet and safe neighborhood where we know all of our neighbors and everyone looks out for one another, with families and young entrepreneurs dotting the area with eclectic bars, eateries and shops. The house is just a few blocks away from the fairgrounds, coffee shops, several good restaurant, and a small grocery store. A couple more blocks and you (email hidden) John, The New Orleans Museum of Art and City Park! The Superdome is a 10 minute bike ride away and only 1 mile to the French Quarter down beautoful Esplanade Ave.
Commonly sought after attractions within 2 miles of the house are: Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, Superdome, French Quarter, Louis Armstrong Park, City Park, DBA, Cafe du Monde, French Market, Spotted Cat, Cafe Negril, Blue Nile, The Maison, Apple Barrel, Coop's Place, Mardi Gras Zone, Mimi's in the Marigny, All Ways Lounge, and the Bywater, Marigny, 7th Ward, and Treme neighborhoods.
I recommend using the Free bikes to get around the area, New orleans is a small enough city geographically you can get virtually anywhere by a short bike ride!
No pets please, Allergy concerns. thanks :)
Guests have access to the back yard, their room, kitchen, and bikes!
Interaction with Guests
Amanda stays in the from of the house, but please contact Andrew with any questions, thanks!
We love our neighborhood and it loves us, so please show it respect. A lot of respect. Thank you.
I recommend using our Free bikes to get around the area, New orleans is a small enough city geographically you can get virtually anywhere by a short bike ride! there is also a Public bus up and down Esplanade ave (91 bus) that takes you down and along the north end of the "French Quarter"
*a note on the bikes:
The bikes are FREE so they are not the fanciest of rides. Mainly geared toward the travelers who are down for an adventure, and aren't expecting a Lexus, they're more like an old Toyota (strong guts, but moody) But we love them, they have their quirks, and they get a lot of use. Please, if you are not used to working with a used "get around town bike" than consider renting a bike from one of the many lovely rentals around town. (Gerkins, Bicycle Michaels, or Crescent City Bike Tours)
Other Things to Note
No pets please, allergy concerns, THANKS!

and THANK YOU for staying with The House of Sweet Dreams!
Andrews house is amazing! He leaves plenty of information to keep your trip smooth, and the rooms are everything you can ask for! The house is very clean and he was great about allowing us to store our bags between breaks in reservations.
This will be a destination to return to if we visit NOLA again!
Great place to stay, and super interesting rooms! Close to a lot of the action while having a bit of peace and quiet. Never met Andrew in person, but provided ample instruction and guidance.
Stayed in the red room and loved it. Room was great, remember to read the full email instructions as the door is down a small alley. Location was perfect as I walked to the french quarter in about 20 minutes and felt safe the whole time. I would recommend this place and would stay again.
The Red Room was very cozy and beautifully decorated. We LOVED the free bikes and the zine gave us a unique and personal look at the city! Loved it.
Room just like described! Loved the welcome guide with many great recommendations. This was the perfect place to be for New Year's Eve.
A really lovely space with great vibes! Andrew is great at communicating and the whole place is set up for a very efficient & independence-fostering (if you want that) guest experience -- keypad on house, personal room key, etc. The House of Sweet Dreams is clean, thoughtful, gorgeous and community oriented but there's also plenty of privacy in the Red Room. It was a little on the cold/damp side during our stay (I have reptile blood and am usually freezing) so if you're like me you might need to use the heater conveniently located in the room! The beautiful shared kitchen and bikes available for neighborhood rides only sweeten the deal! We will definitely stay again with Andrew and the House of Sweet Dreams! Thanks for a beautiful, inspiring and eclectic reintroduction to one of our fav cities. 3

I am an artist who travels very often, I tour the world creating art installations and large group projects. Air Bnb is the perfect solution to keeping my home "lived in and loved" while I am in town or away!
When traveling I am usually driving my 40ft school bus converted in to an Art Studio all over the country creating large scale art installations, I studied Sculpture in Washington, DC and now love to call New Orleans; HOME!
I am so grateful for Airbnb and the world it opens up for me being able to host so many different people from everywhere on earth, I am happy to have you as my guest, welcome, please make yourself at home in our home, and see you soon!
