Northern Michigan Wine Country

House - Private room · Lincoln Hollow Court, Cedar, MI 49621, United States

The Space

This is one of two rooms available in our home listed on Airbnb. It is in the lower part of our home which allows for more privacy and accesses the game room, cable TV and Internet. This lower level is accessed by ourselves and other guests for enjoyment. Keeping your personal items in your room is appreciated. There is a possibility to accommodate extra guests in the lower level for an additional reasonable fee.

Charming location right in the heart of Wine Country. Our home is surrounded by cherry orchards, over a dozen wineries, 2 gorgeous peninsulas, several quaint villages, and downtown Traverse City is a short 5 minute drive. Spend a day visiting the shops and restaurants of Traverse City, touring local wineries or seeing the sights of Sleeping Bear National Lake shore. Enjoy miles of paved bike paths (TART Trails), expansive sandy beaches on Lake Michigan, or a quiet walk along the beautiful Boardman River. Wind down in a comfortable, cozy, quiet cul-de-sac while you recharge for tomorrow's adventure. We do have a small pet chihuahua, Oreo, who is crated during the day when we are away from the house. He is not allowed on the furniture or beds so no dog hair problem. He is a little member of our family and is most often found napping in a sunbeam :)

Breakfast in the morning is somewhat on your own. You can help yourself to yogurt, bagels, toast or breakfast bars to go. Coffee and tea are always available.

  • Scott & Rene were very friendly, warm and welcoming. They gave us great tips for exploring the area and were fun to chat with in the mornings! We enjoyed having a great space to relax on our vacation! The fireplace and ping pong table were great added bonuses.

We really enjoyed staying with these two! Would highly recommend and look forward to booking with them again in the future.

  • Scott & Rene should open their own B&B! they had everything prepared and ready to go for our arrival! They made sure that everything was seamless and clean and comfortable for our weekend in Wine Country. As a first time Air B&B'er they made our experience truly pleasant. Great location close to winery trails and a quick 10 minute drive from Downtown TC.

Their home is quiet, easy to find, close to everything, while remaining off the beaten path.

  • Scott and Rene are such nice people. They go the extra mile to make sure our stay was enjoyable and that we had everything we need.
Their house, our room and bathroom is immaculately clean.
We were able to store a few food and fruit things in their refrigerator. The area they live is quiet and peaceful. and close to TC and everything else in the area.
They pointed us to all the right places and had plenty of materials of the area that we might would be looking for. They worked hard to make our experience staying with them was wonderful and it showed. Scott even helped me change a flat tire and use a few tools when one of my tires was injured.
They both go above and beyond the call of duty.
We would happily stay with them again. We had such a good time visiting and getting to know them both and we consider them friends.

  • My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying with Scott and Rene for three nights while we were vacationing in Traverse City, MI. They were excellent hosts and were extremely helpful to us by making recommendations for things to see and do in the area (they even tipped us off to a restaurant offering $1.50 Bloody Mary's!) Their place is very nice, and the room we stayed in is in their basement, so we had plenty of privacy if we wanted it. I would recommend Scott and Rene to fellow travelers. Overall, we had an excellent time and really enjoyed meeting them. Thank you, Scott and Rene!

We love living in beautiful Northern Michigan. We are both pretty laid back and enjoy meeting new people. We also love to travel and Airbnb has allowed us meet some very nice people as well as save money on our own travels. After staying at a few places through Airbnb ourselves we thought we might do the same with a few extra rooms we have in our home. So far it has worked out very well. We would like to be able to visit with you when you come to our home if you have time. Feel free to join us if time allows. We also like playing card games or board games.
