Our little treehouse is the best of both worlds… perched above it all in a quiet, urban forested canyon close to glorious San Francisco, 10 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes to Silicon Valley to the South and Half Moon Bay to the West--

A tree house, a free house,
A secret you and me house,
A high up in the leafy branches
Cozy as can be house.
Come have a magical stay. Be open to re-discovering the child within!
Suitable for candle-light dinners, relaxing, rejuvenating & simply enjoying the sights and sounds of nature! Enjoy the sunset with a view of the San Francisco Bay while sipping wine on the wrap-around deck. Fluffy down comforters/pillows and passive, eco-friendly heating to keep you warm and toasty. There is a comfy queen size bed in the sleeping loft and a lower level daybed/reading nook. Serenity for 1, ideal for 2.
The Treehouse is a very special retreat meant for individuals & couples--and, occasionally, a small family with school age children. The treehouse is 30ft high and is a wonderful way to feel like you are getting away from it all! It is NOT suitable for children under 6 years of age. As parents, you will not be able to fully enjoy the full specialness of the Treehouse while trying to keep your little one(s) out of harms way. You may want to make this a special time just for the two of you. The treehouse is not suitable for 2 couples or 4 adults (too cozy)
Remember, this is a TREEHOUSE, a wee house in a tree - built with love for our own children 18 years ago. We are so happy to share this experience with you and we take great care in making your stay comfortable & inviting -- However, If you are expecting the Ritz, you may want to reconsider!
A private shower and kitchenette dedicated to our Treehouse guests is located a short 30 steps from the base of the treehouse-located in the lower level of our log home (path is lit at night). We provide fluffy towels & shampoo/conditioner/hair dryer. The kitchenette amenities include a small fridge (stocked with some breakfast items, including fresh, organic hard boiled eggs from our very own chickens), coffee & coffeemaker, electric water kettle for tea. We even provide a basket for transporting your breakfast up to the treehouse so you can eat your breakfast at your leisure while watching the sunrise and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature from the treehouse & deck. For evening, most guests prefer to savor their time in the treehouse. Delicious locally made pizza or sandwiches/salads can be delivered right to the treehouse! We have phone numbers posted for your convenience.
Interaction with Guests
We respect your privacy! We will welcome you & show you the essentials --and then we will leave you to explore and enjoy your special time in the treehouse. However, we are only a text away should you need anything.
The treehouse is on our very private, wooded property, which is located on a private cul-de-sac. Parking for 1 car is dedicated for our treehouse guests.
Because we are located in a wooded, hilly canyon, Bicycling is not recommended. We are a 15-20 minute drive to Beautiful San Francisco, 10 minutes from SFO (or a $20 taxi ride), and 8 minutes from the Train station (Taxi approximately $8 from train station to your treehouse adventure! The town of Burlingame is 2 miles away and has wonderful shopping and unique restaurants!

Doug and Linda are the best! My husband, daughter and I stayed in the treehouse to celebrate my husband's birthday, but we wanted to make it fun for our 7 year-old. Upon arriving at the treehouse, Doug greeted us and showed us around their property for a few minutes while Linda took some time to get the treehouse ready for us. He showed us where his chickens roam as well as their coop. My daughter found the whole property so fun. When we got inside the treehouse, it was just as described in their posting. It was small but cozy. That evening, it rained. Some people may find it a little scary to hear creaking, but we felt that it made it all more fun. I didn't think we would fit three people in the "upstairs" bed, but we fit just fine. Of course, one of us could have slept in the bottom bed; however, we wanted to all be together. We ordered pizza, and it was delivered right to the foot of the treehouse. Then we watched DVDs. My daughter and I played Madlibs for a little before we fell asleep. In the morning, Doug and Linda had bran muffins set out in the kitchenette for us. The also made hard-boiled eggs using their chickens' eggs. My daughter said it tasted so good. They also left us some strawberries, apples, and orange juice. The whole experience was awesome. It's an awesome place to make memories. It's not everyday you get to sleep in a treehouse. Linda and Doug are such down to earth people. We would like to tell them, "Thsnk you," for opening the their treehouse for others to experience. All in all, everything was awesome. It's a trip we won't forget.
Beautiful property! Super clean, romantic, relaxing, unique little place! My husband is 6'4" and could stand up straight. We really had a wonderful stay. And Linda was so sweet and hospitable!
Doug & Linda are amazing hosts! We loved all of the creative touches around the house. This is a very peaceful place and honestly, staying in the treehouse just makes you feel like a kid again. We had a very cozy and relaxing stay! The breakfast was very delicious, as well. Definitely recommend this place!
What an incredibly fun stay! We felt like we were ten years old again! The treehouse had great views and was very clean, comfortable, and extremely homey. It had a heater and tea kettle as well as a TV/DVD set up. Linda was an excellent host, providing us with organic, hard boiled eggs for breakfast and assorted snacks. Having the kitchenette and private bathroom was extremely convenient. The best part was having gluten free pizza and salads delivered right to the treehouse.
Had a great time at the tree house! Linda and Doug were also very kind to provide free drinks and snacks. Will definitely recommend it to others!!!
A perfect getaway - loved the cozy, romantic atmosphere - like camping but warmer and fewer things to pack! A rare gem, could spend hours just napping, reading and enjoying the view.

Linda and I love nature, travel and meeting other people. Through Airbnb we’ve found we are connected with other travelers in a very special way. It’s great to share a few moments and as hosts to provide a unique and private accommodation for them. We are also happy to share our insights about the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area which we call home.
We built this magical treehouse for our own children over a decade ago, respecting the stately Coast Live Oak in which it is securely floated. Over the years it has served our family, friends and this amazing tree quite well. We had no idea that it would bring such joy to so many interesting people from around the globe, but we are delighted by this. And now we are pleased to share our back 3 bedroom bungalow home with larger families for gatherings and as a convenient, secluded space from which to explore the Bay Area. We invite you to come share the magic! Doug and Linda
