We are located in Erie, PA just a few minutes off I-90. We are two hours from Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. In the summer Presque Isle beaches are 20 minutes away. Winter skiing is 25 minutes away from Peek N Peak in Clymer, NY. Erie has great theater, a beautiful zoo, Waldameer amusement park, Tom Ridge Center, Erie Museum, Splash Lagoon water park, and beautiful sunsets on Lake Erie.
We have a wonderful home that is close to everything but feels like you're in the middle of nowhere! The lower level offers privacy and space for 2 to 6 people. There are two private bedrooms and a pull out couch in a living area as well as a private bathroom. It does require the ability to use stairs (there are about 15-20). There is a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee pot.
We have a deck that overlooks Mill Creek. It is a restful experience!
There is plenty to do here, but it is also a great overnight stop to split up a long trip.
The $75 listed is for one bed and $100 for 2 beds.
Great expereince! Home and host were lovely. Perfect place for my first stop on a cross country trip. Ellie was very accomodating and friendly.
This was our first experience with AirBnB, and it was great. We were passing through Erie on our way back home, and after days of chain hotels, we really wanted something more homelike. Ellie & Mark's place was perfect.
The space was an ample self-contained suite with two bedrooms, a bath, and a sitting area. This is great for people traveling together who would prefer not to share a room, let alone a bed. The sitting area has two couches, which gave my son a great place to sprawl out with his computer (he's a champion sprawler) and me a place to sit and read that, for once in this trip, was not a bed.
Ellie and Mark were very welcoming, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable about the Erie area.
Welcoming with a big, comfortable and private space. We were terribly late but Mark was very gracious. Highly recommended.
It was a pleasure to stay with Ellie and Mark. They provided everything we needed including a warm and friendly welcome. It was quite nice to have a spacious peaceful setting. We would certainly consider staying again for our next Erie trip.

Ellie and Mark are wonderful, kind hosts! Their house is beautiful and filled with art! The airbnb is in the basement portion of the house which is very private, comfortable and clean and includes a microwave, mini fridge and a coffee maker. Their house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood very close to the zoo and downtown attractions. I highly recommend their home! Thanks, Ellie and Mark for our stay and well wishes! All the best to you both!
This is a great place to stay in while in the Erie area, and Ellie and Mark are great hosts. The accommodation is very spacious, with two bedrooms and a living area--it was perfect for my husband, our son, and I. The wooded view out the sliding glass door was beautiful, too! I would definitely recommend staying here!
Ellie and Mark were wonderful! We were in Erie for a long weekend and a wedding. My husband accidentally busted the shower head one morning and they had gone out and purchased a new one and were in the process of installing it before we were even home that evening! They have a lovely space downstairs, more spacious AND affordable than we would have gotten at a hotel! We will definitely be looking them up if we're back in Erie needing a space to stay!
Mark and Ellie were really accommodating! They're very nice people and their house is really nice.when you stay there you're downstairs, so it's nice to have some privacy.the beautiful surrounding area with the oak trees was really nice to wake up to!
There were 6 of us staying at Ellie & Mark's place in Erie, 2 grandparents, son and daughter in law, and 2 grand daughters of 6 & 8. It was a truly special place, overlooking the woods and we saw about 4 deer through the window one morning. Our hosts did everything they could, and more, to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We saw and did lots of activities while there - Niagara Falls, the Erie Zoo, an egg hunt at North East Lake Shore Railway. I helped clean up at Presque Isle and later that day went to the Maritime Museum in Erie and saw the Brig Niagara. Our last day saw us back at Presque Isle and because of the stunning weather, we spent the day on the beach. Something for everyone. The last word goes to Montana, a most likeable and affectionate black labrador whose welcome never changed. Thanks to the Tanenbaum household.
