About this listing
My trailer is located in a pine grove 4mi outside of Missoula. It's a very peaceful and well maintained court with lots of space and, paved driveway. Bikes available too.
We have a very quiet neighborhood. Bus runs between Missoula Mon-Sat ~ 6am-7pm.
I am a former music composition student. Most of my experience is in skiing and writing/playing music. I like to get together with friends for festival events, potlucks and dinner parties.
Music and arts interests are very welcome here. Student and business travelers also are preferred.
There is like new washer/dryer, refrigerator, and stove. I am unable to accept pets or indoor smoking.
My trailer is located in a pine grove 7 miles from Missoula. With bus service between Missoula hourly; except lunch, evening, Sunday and holidays. It's a very peaceful and well maintained court with lots of space, paved driveway and plenty of parking. Bikes are available for your use as well for recreation or transportation.
We have a very quiet neighborhood. It is kid friendly and I personally know several of my neighbors. I feel very secure and love to go out for a walk to the river.
I'm an okay cook, and bake bread and cake sometimes. Downtown Missoula is about 7 miles away and is where most of the opportunities for hiking, restaurants and shops are, although there is a truck stop with grocery store, and a separate restaurant about one mile from my home.
Traveling without a car? The bus runs to and from Missoula, stopping at my street every hour except for evenings, lunches and Sundays. I recommend the bike ride to and from town as well.
There is a kitchen between the living room and bedrooms. Laundry and bathroom facilities are between the bedrooms. An outside porch is nice for a break outside, reading and meals.
Interaction with Guests
I need to go into town quite often because I'm working part time at home and part time in town. I do some interaction and enjoy meeting and talking with guests.
Winters are sometimes very cold and seasons vary as far as the amount of snow. Lately, in the last five years or so there have been higher temperatures year round and longer stretches of sunny weather. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded in a tall pine grove.
The Mountain Line of Missoula's route #4 stops at the driveway of the trailer court. It is super convenient and is my primary form of transportation between Missoula hourly until 7pm; except lunch, night (beginning again at 6am), Sunday and holidays.
-fireplaces and wood burning stoves are not allowed
-no excessive noise or disturbances are allowed in the neighborhood
-speed limit in the court driveway is 5 m.p.h. to ensure the safety of everyone, and maintain a quiet surrounding.
Clean common areas, be nice to and respectful of the neighbors. We have a nice quiet neighborhood.
I would need advanced notice if you would like to invite anyone to the house.
Drug free. Pet free.
Other than that please make yourself at home. Thanks - Arlan Bergoust

About the Host, Arlan
I'm from the area. I grew up in the Bitteroot Valley as the youngest of six kids, traveled on a competitive ski team with my brothers until I was 25. Then coached. Along the way I took up Music Composition at the University of Montana and remain a performer / composer. The latest endeavors include home improvement and design projects for myself and friends. I also have become interested in computer programing. That is the career side. On the lifestyle side I still cross country ski a lot, like hiking, write and play music, cook and enjoy meeting with friends for First Friday gallery walks, film festivals and dinner parties.
