My wife and I recently moved into a huge, cozy 2 bedroom apartment, built in 1901 and is only one mile away from Syracuse University.
We have a queen-size bed in the Master bedroom and a full-size bed in the Guest-room / office, and share a very spacious kitchen and bathroom.
You'll feel right at home in one of the most beautiful tree-lined streets in historic Syracuse. Relax in front of the fire and in the eclectic old world charm of our happy home.
(Please note- as this is the space we live in, we cannot rent out to more than 2 people when we are home. When we are not in town, we can happily rent out the whole apartment to more than 2 people for just $125 per night.)
We love meeting new, creative, curious, intelligent people, while making them feel at home and respecting their space.
It really is one the the most beautifully gentrified neighborhoods in Syracuse.
Our apartment is close to downtown and several amazing restaurants are right around the corner. The bus line to SU is around the corner on James Street and entrances to both the 81 and 690 freeways are within a 2 minute drive. Amtrak and Greyhound stations are also only 5 to 6 minutes from our doorstep.
Great, cozy, place to stay, truly enjoyed my visit. Would definitely recommend it.
Mark was a kind and welcoming host. His beautiful flat was clean and quiet, and the neighborhood, very pleasant with many architecturally interesting houses, and a nice cafe and wine bar near by.
This is my second stay with Mark and his fiancee. They have upgraded into a beautiful home with a really cozy yet spacious feel. They are wonderful people who I would stay with again and again.
Taapsi is a great hostess! She is generous, kind and very interesting to talk to. I was invited to her lovely party on Saturday night and was made to feel so welcomed the whole time I was there. They really have a beautiful home:) I look forward to staying there again the next time I visit my son at Syracuse University!
Good experience. Nice room and friendly people. Conveniently located to downtown and the campus. He made delcious cookies to take with me!
I am so glad I stayed with Mark and Taapsi! I visited Syracuse for three days to attend a conference. Most of the activities were close to downtown, and I needed an affordable option that was nearby. Mark and Taapsi’s place is cozy, with eclectic and colorful décor. It’s situated on a tree-lined street in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods I found in the city. It was also an easy 10-minute walk to Crown Plaza, where my conference was based. They were both friendly and welcoming hosts. I always enjoyed our conversations about art and travel. They offered me to join them for dinner the first night, but also provided suggestions for nearby restaurants. They left an umbrella when a storm came in, and even suggested I borrow a bike if I wanted to get to some of the more distant parts of town. I had an excellent weekend with my hosts. I would highly recommend.
Really nice couple and nice room. They are super friendly and accommodating. I forgot my alarm clock at their place and they dropped it off for me downtown. Highly recommend.
Mark and his fiancé are the best hosts! This was my first time using AirBnB and their hospitality was great first impression, not only for using AirBnB but for the city of Syracuse. I came to Syracuse to visit the campus and attend a graduate school preview day. Mark picked me up and dropped me off at the airport. He was able to do so with a smile even after both of my flights had major time changes (delays/ cancellations/ etc.). Even thought my arrival was at one in the morning he and his fiancé were so gracious on picking me up and discussing the positive attributes of the city. They also offered me dinner and breakfast. It was delicious! Mark and his fiancé are both interesting people and are great to sit and chat about their travels and aspirations. Their home is decorated with interesting pieces of art from around the world! Definitely a great, kind hearted couple! I plan to keep in touch with them especially when I make my move to Syracuse for school in the future. If I plan to visit Syracuse before my move I would definitely stay with them again :)
Mark has been an excellent host. While he was away when I got in, I had no problems getting keys and staying at his place all weekend long. Mark's place is right by campus, which made our trip so much easier. Well done!
Mark is a super friendly host, and the apartment was in a perfect location for those visiting Syracuse, or the square in center of the city. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in town!
