About This Listing
Large, funky 2 bedroom in a classic old Toronto walk-up apartment. Located in a great west side neighbourhood, close to downtown and right on the transit lines. Fantastic restaurants and cafes nearby. This is the real Toronto feel.
A large 2 bedroom classic Toronto walk-up apartment, above a store front, in an older building in the College and Dufferin area. It is a cool space, with lots of character, situated in a sweet location with great cafes, shops, restaurants and galleries close by, and public transit right outside the door. There is a solid WI-FI connection throughout the apartment, a fully equipped kitchen, staple goods available, a gas stove, complimentary coffee and tea and welcome wine is always available. A single bathroom with shower, a comfortable living room (you could put a fifth person on the sofa in a pinch - it doesn't fold out, but wide enough to sleep one) It is a three story building the apartment is on the top floor with two flights of stairs to walk up, one flight inside the apartment, the other outside the front door of the apartment. You are welcome to bring your pet, and there is a lovely big park - Dufferin Grove - a couple of blocks away. It is a 10 minute car ride to the heart of downtown, 15-20 by tram which runs right outside the door. There is a city parking lot behind the building, the fee is $8 per 24 hours with in and out access. and restrictive street parking around the neighbourhood on the streets, overnight is free.
The bedrooms contain one Queen and one Double, both are new with comfortable pillow tops mattresses, high quality linen, and towels are supplied. There is no cable tv, but local digital channels ie. CBC, CTV etc. There is a hdmi cable to connect your computer to the TV. There is a stereo in the kitchen with a mini-plug to attach to your device.
This is a rental of my space when I travel for work, and contains my personal effects. There is an empty dresser in each bedroom and a spare closet for storage for guests. A family lives in the apartment below so I prefer guests who can respect this environment and keep the noise to a respectful level.
There is no smoking in the apartment, guests can smoke in an uninsulated utility room with seating off the back of the apartment or on the fire escape. Please keep the evening noise levels to a respectful level.
Lauren's place was perfect for us, easy access, easy-going, good location at a good price!
The apartmente it was just like in the pictures. Lauren's manual it was very helpful.
Lauren's apartment was fantastic, just what we needed for our trip. The place is very well located, and it was very easy to move around. There's a convenience store just in the corner where it is easy to buy tickets for transportation (you need cash). The apartment is comfortable, everything was as described. Parking was easy right on the back of the apartment, at a very reasonable price ($5 for a whole day, can come and go as you wish). Lauren also provides a really nice set of suggestions as to what is available in the apartment and the city, and those were pretty useful. We were able to bring our dog, and there were many great places close enough, including a park just a couple of blocks away. If we come back to Toronto, I'd love to stay again in her place!
Lauren's apartment was very comfortable with a homely atmosphere. It was a great base for exploring Toronto and convenient for taking a streetcar into the city.
Lauren's place was the perfect home base for our trip to Toronto. She was super friendly and responsive! I'd go back in a heartbeat.
Lauren was a great host, she warmly welcomed us. The apartment itself is awesome, really big, very clean and well-furnished. Its really well located, close to the streetcar. Lauren left us a a really handy booklet for the apartment and the surrounding area, which was great.
Lauren was a great host, she was easily contacted and gave us very clear directions on how to get to, and into, the apartment. The apartment itself is awesome, really big, really nice, and with a great view of College St. Its really well located, close to the streetcar and maybe 10 minutes from the subway. Lauren left us a a really handy booklet for the apartment and the surrounding area, which was great. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Toronto!

About the Host, Lauren
I work in the arts for an independent film distribution organization, I travel internationally alot for work, mainly to film festivals - top three favourite cities of the past year the "B List" - Bangalore, Buenos Aires, Berlin. I love hosting guests, and can help you navigate the city and assist you with finding fun events, especially if you love art. I am mature and respectful of the spaces in which I stay and leave them as I found them, and have the same approach as a host.
