Sean was a really good host right from the start, and helped us out with whatever we needed, and had plenty of advice on where to go and what was happening. The area is really nice and safe, and got places to eat and a big supermarket just a few blocks away.
You can take the tram to downtown as well.
Comfy bed and overall high standard. Especially the bathroom.
Would stay again!
It was nice to be out of the main hustle for Mardi Gras but close enough to go back and forth. Angela made us feel at home by letting us take up room in the fridge and offering up the couch and DVR for relaxation time. The house, the room and bed are all comfortable. Angela and Sean's place is a few blocks from a street car which is helpful. There are also restaurants, a cafe and a grocery store all very close by. We appreciated the pets, but I would say if you're not a dog/cat person, it may not be the place for you.
Sean and Angela were very well prepared and provided us with lots of information. The house is well equiped and there is nothing you would miss. The bathroom has a high standard with a Jacuzzi bathtub. The bed is really comfy. The pets are cute and not annoying at all. We've spend nice evenings with BBQ and beer on the porch. The neighbourhood seems to be quiet and safe.
The Street car is close by but you can also grab a taxi to French quarter for 10$.
We absolutely recommend staying with Sean and Angela.
Thanks for a nice stay!

Sean is simply one of the finest hosts in the southeastern United States. The weather was incredibly cold but Sean's home remained warm, cozy, and clean. The surrounding neighborhood keeps getting better. I highly recommend that you visit particularly because it remains underpriced year after year!
Sean and Angela were fantastic hosts. Our room was clean and comfortable, and our hosts were happy to share recommendations for our first visit to New Orleans. The location was pleasantly removed from the tourist chaos but an easy walk to City Park for a walk, jog, or beignets as well as a pleasant hourlong walk through Treme (perfectly fine during the daytime) down mansion-lined Esplanade into the Marigny, Bywater, or French Quarter. Cabs back from any of those areas at night were easy to find and ran around $10-14 before tip.
We enjoyed staying at Mid-City Holidays in Mid-City! It was nice to get away from the french quarter and feel more like a local. There were many great restaurants within walking distance as well as a couple of great yoga studios. It was also very easy to get to the french quarter from their place, which was great!
The rooms itself was comfortable, even though I can imagine in warmer times even better, as their backyard is really nice and is accessible from the room.
Sean was nice enough to give us a ride, as we were burdened with holiday luggage. Thanks Sean!
Fantastic place, fantastic hosts - I was visiting New Orleans for a work trip, and every night going back to their house felt like I was coming home.
The house was clean, spacious and comfortable (ultra comfy bed) and in a great location. Sean and Angela were awesome: easy going, helpful, friendly, fun, their pets were great and their local knowledge was invaluable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I've made two new friends (plus animals!).
Sean and Angela were great hosts. Their home was a perfect location for getting around town and City Park in particular. Sean let me use his bike during my stay- which worked out fantastic. You will enjoy your stay here.
Sean and Angela have a beautiful home and are great hosts, to the point that Angela brought me with her to her bar for the Saints/Pats game knowing full well I'd be wearing a Brady jersey. People don't get much more friendly than that.
I didn't manage to meet Sean in person but his girlfriend who was nice and accomodating.
The room and apartment were clean and in line with what presented in the listing.
Thanks for letting us stay at your place !
