About this listing
This quaint and cozy retreat is perfect for relaxing from all your nearby skiing, hiking and boating adventures. Filled with books and views, you may not want to leave!
Cozy, quaint loft/studio apartment located in Carnelian Bay, about five miles north of Tahoe City and west of Kings Beach, or about 20 minutes from Squaw Valley and Alpine, and Northstar. The studio has two futon-style twin beds and a slightly larger bed not quite full size for any combination of 1-4 guests. Perfect for a family. The apartment features a small balcony with a lovely view of the lake to enjoy a glass of wine, or to barbecue. The apartment also has a kitchenette, with sink, microwave, small refrigerator, toaster oven, two burner electric stovetop, coffee maker, and full kitchenware. Bathroom and shower also include lovely tree filled views.
The apartment has Roku with Netflix, but if that's not your thing, it is filled wall to wall with books on every subject, as well as a sturdy desk to pen your deepest thoughts. Perfect retreat for bibliophiles and aspiring novelists.
No lake access at the apartment, but about five houses down there is a homeowner's association pier accessible with a key. There is also a bbq and large beach to enjoy.
If the ten minute drive to Tahoe City or Kings Beach seems overwhelming, Carnelian Bay has a few restaurants, including Gar Woods, where you can eat on their beautiful deck overlooking the lake, and a delightful mini-golf course that the kids won't forget.
Guests will have access to a lakefront lot with pier, beaches, and BBQ (about five houses away). Main house and pier are off-limits.

I am a native San Franciscan, still eager to explore the Bay Area and beyond. Sometimes musician, intermittent lawyer, and all around decent fellow.
