You will experience the charm of the Old South at The Farmhouse Inn, located in
Memphs, TN….Home of the Blues, and the former home of Elvis Presley… Graceland
My home is in an older neighborhood of Memphis, on a residential, mid-city, semi-busy street, with ample parking and is within walking distance of a library, a bus stop, the Greenline biking/walking trail, varied restaurants, and a shopping center. It is about 8 miles from downtown Memphis.
All 4 spaces at the Farmhouse are private, all have wifi access.
The property includes:
THE GRACELAND COTTAGE- a separate building behind the main house, which provides complete privacy and includes a queen bed, full private bath, kitchenette, and wifi connection.
first floor rooms…..
THE WEST MEMPHIS
two twin beds, shared bath.
THE SUN STUDIO
three twin beds, and shared bath.
THE BLUES ROOM
A sunny space on the second floor, the Blues Room has two twins, a deck in the treetops, shared bath.
You will find the accommodations at The Farmhouse will fit just about anyone's needs and budget.
You will feel like you are in the country when you enjoy the back garden, the front porch or the upper deck. When I am able, I love to visit with guests, with coffee in the morning and/or a cocktail in the evening.
My house is located two blocks from a bus stop that goes straight to Downtown Memphis. Also, a library, a shopping center, a post office. and various restaurants are within walking distance
Cooking in the main kitchen is $5/meal.. Laundry is $1 per load.
Other Things to Note
During the Winter months, the Cottage can be difficult to keep warm because it is made of concrete. Many others have stayed comfortably, but if you are cold natured, you may want to consider the Blue Room on the second floor.
Also, please do not flush anything down the toilets that doesn't either come from your body or the toilet paper roll...My house has old plumbing. That's why public restrooms have those signs everywhere.

Thanks so much for your help.
The place is sweet as it can be! We had a wonderful time in Memphis, and the location and accommodations here can't be beat. She let us arrive later than we planned so we could see Graceland first, and everything was thoughtfully setup. Can't wait to come back :)
Patti had the place ready for us and it was very clean and comfortable. It is not a luxury accommodation but it is just fine for a place to sleep and shower while visiting all the fun stuff in Memphis. No problems at all, we slept comfortably and had everything we needed at a very fair price. Patti graciously invited us for coffee on her charming front porch the next morning and we had a lot of fun visiting with this interesting and friendly hostess! She was very helpful with suggestions of where we might eat and visit.
Patty's place was very easy to find, although we had some trouble getting into the rear parking space due to the diligent guard cats Patty had left on duty :-) They demanded petting in tribute. They do not come into the place, BTW, just FYI for those allergic to cats.
We stayed in the cottage in the back, which was a cute little 50s-ish room with a very comfortable queen bed. We feel asleep to the sounds of birds and awoke the same way. All in all a great stay!
Patty was extremely friendly and communicated with me throughout our stay. The grounds were lovely and the cottage was so charming! It was very relaxing and peaceful and everything that could be needed was provided. The location was great too, short driving distances for all the touristy things I wanted to do. I would love to stay here again the next time I visit Memphis. Thank you, Patty!!
Patty was more than welcoming, waiting on us arriving and offering any help and advice we required. We were only in Memphis for a quick pitstop and Patty's was perfect. Furthermore I left my sunglasses in the room after leaving early in the morning to catch a flight, Patty contacted me and then posted them onto my next destination, amazing!!! Just had a friend who is back from staying at a hotel in Spain (their second time at that hotel in Santander) and left their camera and the hotel wouldn't send it unless they paid the P&P!
The host was very quick to respond to our questions and had everything ready and the door open for us and met us when we arrived.
Wonderful hot shower! A home away from home! Patty was sweet to check on me and make me feel comfortable! Real mattress and high quality sheets :) I felt safe in her neighborhood. I would like the excuse to visit again

What I love most about Airbnb is that all of us are on the same playing field, so to speak... We both get and give reviews.. So, be sure this casual environment is your cup of tea. I get plenty of wonderful, laid-back guests who love my home. If you are not laid-back, please look for something more expensive that suits you better...
Also, the Farmhouse does not discriminate against any one except religious fanatics who judge others based on their lifestyle. This is an open and affirming home.
