You will experience the charm of the Old South at The Farmhouse Inn, located in
Memphs, TN….Home of the Blues, and the former home of Elvis Presley… Graceland
My home is in an older neighborhood of Memphis, on a residential, mid-city, semi-busy street, with ample parking and is within walking distance of a library, a bus stop, the Greenline biking/walking trail, varied restaurants, and a shopping center. It is about 8 miles from downtown Memphis.
All 4 spaces at the Farmhouse are private, all have wifi access.
The property includes:
THE GRACELAND COTTAGE- a separate building behind the main house, which provides complete privacy and includes a queen bed, full private bath, kitchenette, and wifi connection.
first floor rooms…..
THE WEST MEMPHIS
two twin beds, shared bath.
THE SUN STUDIO
three twin beds, and shared bath.
THE BLUES ROOM
A sunny space on the second floor, the Blues Room has two twins, a deck in the treetops, shared bath.
You will find the accommodations at The Farmhouse will fit just about anyone's needs and budget.
You will feel like you are in the country when you enjoy the back garden, the front porch or the upper deck. When I am able, I love to visit with guests, with coffee in the morning and/or a cocktail in the evening.
My house is located two blocks from a bus stop that goes straight to Downtown Memphis. Also, a library, a shopping center, a post office. and various restaurants are within walking distance
Cooking in the main kitchen is $5/meal.. Laundry is $1 per load.
Other Things to Note
During the Winter months, the Cottage can be difficult to keep warm because it is made of concrete. Many others have stayed comfortably, but if you are cold natured, you may want to consider the Blue Room on the second floor.
Also, please do not flush anything down the toilets that doesn't either come from your body or the toilet paper roll...My house has old plumbing. That's why public restrooms have those signs everywhere.

when you finish...
*Rinse the toothpaste out of the sink after brushing your teeth…
*Hang your wet towel on a hook and not on wooden furniture...

*Let me know about friends visiting you at The Farmhouse.
I never thought I'd have to say this, but Hostel guests must be appropriately
dressed in public areas, including going in and out of the bathroom.
Thanks so much for your help.
Wonderful hot shower! A home away from home! Patty was sweet to check on me and make me feel comfortable! Real mattress and high quality sheets :) I felt safe in her neighborhood. I would like the excuse to visit again
The cottage was quiet and cozy. Perfect for a weekend getaway. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks, Patty!
Very nice basic little cottage, perfect for our one night stay. We didn't meet Patty, but she was great keeping in contact and seemed very nice.
The cottage was cozy and well kept and was private from the main house. Patty was very communicative and had everything ready when we arrived. Our stay was easy and comfortable. Thank you!
Felt right at home with Patty. Stayed in Private Cottage behind Main House but had full tour and access. Especially enjoyed Coffee and Conversation on front porch as the wind chimes relieved long day on road
Patty was absolutely lovely to work with. Communicative, warm, etc. The Farmhouse guest cottage was extremely private, and close to everything I needed to do! Being able to drive my own car while being in Memphis, and able to stay in such a quiet, lovely area made a huge difference. The heaters she provided made the room as warm as I needed it to be-- I even had to shut them off! If you are hesitating, don't! Wifi code was waiting for me in the room, along with some dvds. Truly lovely.

What I love most about Airbnb is that all of us are on the same playing field, so to speak... We both get and give reviews.. So, be sure this casual environment is your cup of tea. I get plenty of wonderful, laid-back guests who love my home. If you are not laid-back, please look for something more expensive that suits you better...
Also, the Farmhouse does not discriminate against any one except religious fanatics who judge others based on their lifestyle. This is an open and confirming home.
