Interaction with Guests
I sometimes see them at breakfast, but they generally are out all day. I am happy to give them information on tours, shopping, transportation, etc.
My townhouse is located in the historic center, is a few minutes walking distance to art galleries, library, restaurants, theater, the artisan market and the main square. I am surrounded by friendly Mexican kneighbors and banking and shopping is all around me. It is convenient, friendly and safe.
There is a bus stop on the corner of my street.
Respect the house rules of smoking only in the patio and roof terrace, not be noisy and respect my private spaces (studio and bedrooms that are not yours).
My friend and I spent a wonderful time in Marge's place. The house is charming, smart and beautiful, just like its owner. It's mini gallery full of art collections, and very detail reflects Marge's fabulous taste. Marge is a beautiful lady and impressed me with her grace and ease manner. We enjoyed the chatting with her. We appreciate a lot having met Marge and her house in San Miguel, and we will definitely come back.
Margaret os a wonderful host, her house is very nice the guest room and bathroom has everything you need and very clean we for sure will be back soon!!
We really enjoyed our two-week stay at Marge's lovely, art-filled home. The room was spacious, had internet access, and had its own bathroom with shower. The king bed was very comfortable, and the windows overlooked an interior courtyard with ample trees and flowering plants. We particularly appreciated the fresh flowers in our room, daily chocolate treats, the maid service, and bottled water provided. A continental breakfast was ready for us each morning. We spent much of our time at the house on the beautiful, private rooftop terrace, from which you could see the entire city and sunsets. It was a 10-minute, relatively flat walk to the Jardin, and right near the Artisans' market, a fun place to do some interesting shopping. A terrific little coffee shop called "Buen Dia" was on the next block, and their cappuccinos were excellent. The location couldn't be better, and the amenities provided were beyond our expectations.
We had a 6 day stay in San Miguel de Allende for a very close friend's wedding, and absolutely loved the town. March was the perfect time to be there--gorgeous weather, plants all in bloom, and tons going on in the town that we enjoyed when we weren't busy with wedding festivities. We didn't spend a ton of time hanging out at Casa Rossa as a result, but it met our expectations as a clean, private, beautiful space for us to rest our heads and prepare for the next adventure. The courtyard outside the room is a beautiful way to start the day. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Others have already mentioned that there are two twin mattresses on the bed; however, this did not bother us too much and it was otherwise quite comfortable. The location is really the best thing though. Only a few blocks from the main square, and right across from the huge artisan market. Even so, it was always so quiet and we never had trouble sleeping (though we do always travel with a noise machine).
I spent two nights at Casa Rossa and look forward to going back.
The room is luxurious, the home is beautiful, the location is great -
easy walk to the Jardin. And Margaret is a wonderful host,
couldn't ask for more!
