Reserve for at least nine guests, and I will leave the entire house for your use!
There are four beds in three bedrooms upstairs and two beds in the finished basement. )Airbnb does not allow more than one bedroom to be listed unless I list it exclusively as an entire-home rental). One bedroom has a queen bed, another has a queen bed with a full size bed on an overhead loft. The finished basement has a full-size bed and a twin bed. The Master bedroom (available with whole-house rentals only) has a queen bed.
I will make sure your needs are accommodated!
Guests tell me my home is a relaxing place to unwind after a busy day of work or travel. Many of them also end up sleeping in late and lingering around! My home is spacious, quiet, and full of light including a sunroom and a kitchen with wall-to-wall skylights.
My home is at the end of the cul-de-sac of a very safe and quiet neighborhood convenient to Interstate 74. Downtown is only a mile away. I have a mountain bike for guest use around town and to ride the trails in nearby Brum Woods.
High-speed (6Mbs) WiFi available, and you are welcome to use my 60" Smart HDTV or my home theater projector (both with Blu-Ray DVD players) and Roku 3 with Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, etc!
When it is cold, you may park your car in my attached garage and build a fire in the fireplace!
Other Things to Note
You will have a full refrigerator shelf available for your food. There is an empty cabinet available for your use.
I have a Keurig coffee maker for your use. You are welcome to bring your own K-cups, but I do have a selection available in the drawer just underneath the machine. I only ask $1 for each unit to maintain the supply.
Please leave the place as clean as you find it when you arrive. That includes the dishes :-)
No pets allowed because i keep the place clean as possible. I am willing to consider exceptions such as service dogs.
I rented the whole house for a reunion I organized for some college friends and their wives. This house was a good venue for us but with some caveats. We had beds for all ten of us (two of the couples shared one room) and room also for the two toddlers we had with us. We loved the kitchen and did a lot of cooking, and the sun room and living room were nice spaces to relax- the fireplace was especially homey, we kept it going all day while we were there. There were a few things we'd ask about before renting again- it appeared that there was renovation/makeover in progress, as several rooms had repainting jobs incomplete and the house was missing window treatments and outlet/switch covers in many rooms, which was not best for the toddlers or late risers. Michael was out of the country during our stay and had to depend on a housekeeper to reset the house from the last guests, and we had a few things out of sorts that would probably have been no problem if he'd had a chance to take care of them himself- a bed not made, a too-full trash can- little things. On the whole, our stay was very pleasant and unproblematic. I wouldn't worry about booking here again, but I would know what sorts of thing to ask about before hand. Michael communicated well before the rental and was attentive to our requests and questions. Thank you, Michael, for opening your home to us! We had a great time.
This was our second stay at Michaels and once again, his home and our stay exceeded expectations! We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen, reading in the sunny and open sunroom, playing games and watching movies by the fireplace, and walking in the quiet neighborhood. Michael is a very accomodating host and very gracious in sharing his home. We look forward to return visits!
I'm not the most outgoing person in the world so I don't socialize all that much but Michael is the kind of person to ask if I'm comfortable and wish me a good day at work. It's the little things that prove he's a good person.
Michael was very accommodating. This was my first AirBNB but he made everything too easy, at 1/3 the cost of a hotel.
The house was very nice, bright and spacious. It felt homey without feeling like I was intruding on someone else's space. My wife enjoyed all of the tv options available while my friends and I were on the slopes. We only brought 5 total but there is plenty room for more than double that.
Michael is a great host, and while I did not get the pleasure of meeting him, I hope to on our next trip to Perfect North.
This home is beautiful and just the same as shown in the pictures and described on the page. Michael was out of the town when we were there, but he was responsive via text/messages and the house manual he provided was helpful. We enjoyed our stay at this home and had a great time at the Perfect North Slopes this past weekend.
I love hosting and and meeting airbnb guests in my home, and I sometimes cook with them! I love cooking with friends, family, guests, and hosts, and trying out new foods, cuisines, and restaurants. I am always on the go, and spend very little time at home, whether it is in my own home or when traveling. Also, I much prefer to stay in a real home with interesting people rather than be isolated in a hotel room.
In addition to cooking and eating food, I am also an avid forager of wild edible foods and love connecting with others interested in foraging.
I also love the water--whitewater kayaking, canoeing, and sea kayaking.
I am also a runner, and welcome airbnb guests to join me for running!
I also love to travel and enjoy sharing ideas for new destinations worldwide.
