Our bright 1 bedroom apartment is close to everything! We are a 7 minute walk from the 16th St. Mall (and free mall ride that will take you to LoDo). There is a liquor store and an organic supermarket across the street. 15 minutes from City and Cheeseman Parks. 2 minutes from well-known Denver bars and restaurants, and 30 seconds away from an arcade bar. Incredibly close to the Ogden and Fillmore theaters. Coin-op laundry available in the basement.
Our apartment is open and bright, includes WiFi, a TV with Netflix, a Wii, and local channels, full kitchen and most kitchen gadgets. We have a queen bed and also room for somebody on a small couch. Note: there have been some furniture changes since these pictures were taken; futon is now a couch, bookshelf has shifted and there is an extra desk in the living room since we have both returned to school! Street parking is usually easy to find, especially on weekends, and we are right across from a police station.
We do have an air conditioner set up in the bathroom that cools the bedroom very well. However the set up is a little bit cobbled together, and requires an extension cord across the bathroom. Be sure to unplug it before showering!
One note: the shared space of the building our apartment is in is a bit grungy and smells strongly of cigarette smoke. It is unpleasant, but it does not penetrate through to our apartment.

All the check-in procedures are set up in advance of your stay; that means we will probably never even meet in person.
Everything about our stay at Sara and Josh's apartment went just great. The place is a little small, but the photos do represent it well. Excellent light, really cute decorations and atmosphere - we felt like we had a home away from home!
Check in/out were really easy. Sara was promptly communicative too. We also were able to check in early which was really convenient. THANKS!
We were very happy with the place! We couldn't have asked for a better location (walkable distance to everything, lots of things to do nearby, etc.) and the apartment itself had a lot of character.
Sara and Josh very nicely left us breakfast provisions and detailed instructions to ensure a comfortable stay. I would recommend this to potential future Airbnb-ers!
The apartment was very similar to how it was pictured, fairly clean and very quaint. The only really problem was it got very cold at night and there was only a bottom sheet and a comforter on the bed. The hallway does smell extremely strong of cigarettes but this does not go into the room very much at all. My boyfriend and I also both had very bad allergies to something but we could not figure out what (we don't normally have allergies at home). Something that was not mentioned in other reviews that was very shocking is that the apartment is directly behind a strip club. The apartment is literally in the strip clubs back ally. The surrounding area is extremely sketchy at night time and I would not recommend venturing out alone. We were followed and harassed twice during our stay. During the day was fine though and we learned to just have out uber pick us up at the apartment door at night. Overall it was a nice stay for 1/3 the cost of a hotel in downtown Denver.
We just wanted to clarify that we do not live behind a strip club. There is a gay bar and an 'adult retail' shop on the corner -- which we think is very different from a strip club. Also - our apartment does have some weird temperature control issues, so we always have stacks of blankets available. In the winter, we make a space heater available, but our mistake, we didn't realize how chilly it was already!
This place was great, all you need. Your close to everything downtown and can walk (we're from New York where we walk everywhere) or there's bike stations everywhere. There's a liquor store and restaurants a block away. Netflix was easy to access for when we wanted to recharge and chill. The bed was comfy and they offer you breakfast and coffee if you'd like. The only downside is no ac (still comfortable even when it got to 90 during the day) and the hot water takes a while to heat up (as it does at our house). So it's definitely not an inconvenience or anything. We'll definitely stay again!
the hosts were good at communicating information about the city. the apartment was what we expected,no surprises. It was convieinet [sic] to the downtown which is what we needed. The neighborhood was fine and the public transportation was great [ free mall ride, buses etc.] We would rent again from Sara and Josh.
We had a great time here. Its good and bad that the apartment is so close to the bars, but maybe that was because it was St. Patrick's Day.
Staying at Sara and Josh's place was amazing! The location is absolutely perfect getting in and out of the city. Not to mention the great bars (the 1up - arcade bar, Sancho's Broken Arrow - dive bar with great music) and food (Slice Works) nearby. We used Lyft getting around the city and their place is in a convenient spot for pickups and dropoffs. There is a market about 3 blocks from their place (a bit pricey but walkable distance). Overall location-wise, perfect!
The home was just as awesome. They were kind to welcome us to their fridge (eggs, coffee, and what not) - as well as provide us with comfortable sleeping arrangements. There were 3 of us so we made use of their sofa which was quite comfortable. The amenities were great and they made it welcoming on arrival.

We both work as ski instructors at Winter Park Resort and split our time between Denver and the mountain. We are avid travelers and have had the opportunity to stay with great people around the world. We love AirBnB for the great service it provides travelers and because it helps us save up for our next world adventures!
