There are many beautiful bush walks, outdoor activities and tourist attractions very close to us - we can provide information about these as we are keen bush walkers, kayakers and cyclists.
The Cottage does not offer luxury accommodation but it does offer a reasonably priced, clean comfortable self contained cottage in the lovely Mid Mountains.
The Cottage is self contained.....
Interaction with Guests
We are a busy family out and about a lot, we may not see you during your stay at The Cottage....but that's fine come, relax and enjoy the beautiful Blue Mountains.
Where we are in the mid mountains is only really suitable for those with their own transport.
Other Things to Note
We offer WIFI -it can be a little intermittent - works best with laptops and sitting out on the back veranda of The Cottage.
We just ask that smoking outside only please, not in the Cottage itself - the back veranda is a good spot.
Check in after 1.30 pm on day of arrival and check out by 10.30am as this allows us to prepare for other guests.
Otherwise we hope you have a lovely time in the Blue Mountains.

Kookaburra Cottage is the perfect place to stay in the Blue Mountains!
The cottage is lovely, clean and tidy. Kye and her husband are very nice hosts. The location is great and very convenient.
The place is situated in a quiet place in a bush setting. It has everything that you need. We had all our meals outside but will put on the mossie spray next time. The driveway was a bit tricky to negotiate. Will consider coming again to this retreat in the bush.
Even we haven't seen Kye everthing was organized in a superb way. The cottage is well equipped with a kitchen and combined living room, bathroom, sleeping room (very good beds). Everthing was very clean and tidy. The wifi might have had a break down during the first evening but it worked the second evening (it is mentioned in the welcome note that the wifi is not very strong). The cottage is for sure a good place to explore the Blue Mountains.

Great little place. Exactly as described. We spent just one night here, we never even saw our host, and got up and walked straight to the Transit of Venus walk which was a spectacular little known trek. Didn't even see another soul on the walk. Great peaceful get away from the city.
We stayed at this delightful cottage in Woodford for a night. Really appreciate the beautiful location, bushwalk at the end of the street and the fact that the owners stocked the cottage with everything we needed for the stay. Including TIM TAMS!! My daughter and husband were very impressed.
