We are in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. We are just 20 mins drive from Katoomba, 15 mins from Wentworth Falls, we live opposite the Transit of Venus walking tracks which lead to a number of Waterfalls. There are many beautiful bush walks, outdoor activities and tourist attractions very close to us - we can provide information about these as we are keen bush walkers, kayakers and cyclists.
The Cottage does not offer luxury accommodation but it does offer a reasonably priced, clean comfortable self contained cottage in the lovely Mid Mountains.
We are a busy family out and about a lot, we may not see you during your stay at The Cottage....but that's fine come, relax and enjoy the beautiful Blue Mountains.
Where we are in the mid mountains is only really suitable for those with their own transport.
We offer WIFI - to enable guests to check emails and websites.
Nice cottage in a nice and quiet landscape. A lot of privacy and very cosy, a lot of space for two people. We enjoyed it. Kye came to pick us up from the station.
Easy to go by train to Wentforth Falls and Katoomba, where we made very nice walks.
Excellent value for money. Very comfortable and cosy. Perfect location. Well equipped cottage. And, a lovely gesture of the host leaving chocolates on the pillows!
We really enjoyed our stay at Kookaburra Cottage. We didn't meet Kye (although the dog paid us a friendly visit) but that didn't matter because we had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. The cottage is a great size in a lovely setting, with easy access to the main sights in the Blue Mountains. It is humbly decorated and simply furnished but there is everything you need for a short stay. My only criticism is that the wifi didn't work for us most of the time but who needs wifi when you're in such a beautiful place?
We did not meet Kye but had email correspondence advising us of this and where the key would be etc. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We would highly recommend.
Very nice cottage on their premises. Robert even picked us from the train station, how lovely! We enjoyed one night and had a good sleep! Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed the stay, very comfortable and peaceful, would stay again.
It was a very nice stay. The cottage is very big, independent and conveniently located. The area around, the Blue Mnts, very picturesque. There's plenty of brochures inside.
The cottage was really nice and had everything we needed for our short stay. Located in a good location, very close to the freeway but still away from any noise.
Cosy and clean place. Very close to the Great Western Highway.
We loved the Blue Mountains and this cottage is well situated close to key areas like Wentworth Falls. We were a little disappointed in the quality of the bedding and furnishings
