wonderfully preserved medieval city. While the furnishings are simple and mostly modern, recently renovated.

Wonderful apartment in an amazing location in Siena! Everything about our stay in Siena was fantastic. Although we arrived at the apartment later than we had hoped, Christina and Marco were there to greet us and show us what we needed to know about the apartment. We quickly realized that the apartment is in a fabulous location, super short walk to all of the main attractions and good restaurants and yet still very quiet. The apartment was clean, comfortable and pictured accurately on airbnb. We would highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a fun stay in Siena. The only word of caution if you drive and park your car: there is a series of 5 or 6 escalators that will take you up into the city/apartment from the street parking so don't overpack! We had a stroller, two suitcases, two kids, and a diaper bag and it was a bit difficult to maneuver the escalators since two were not functioning properly. Otherwise the free street parking is great!
We enjoyed staying in this apartment a lot. It had everything that we needed including fast wi-fi. It was clean and cosy. The location is perfect, really in the heart of Siena. The communication with Valentina and her mother was pleasant. If I am in Siena again I will be happy to stay there.
Thanks Valentina, the apartment was just as described, very comfortable and well located near the main attractions of Siena. Staying in the apartment gave us the opportunity to sight see at our leisure as well as catch up with the Tour de France via TV over lunch before heading out again to experience the many amazing restaurants Siena has to offer.
Thank you also, for being there when we arrived and to your sister Elena for her help finding the sports channel. Great hosts.
Great apartment in Siena! This place is just steps away from the Piazza del Campo and is perfect for 2-4 people. We were met by Valentina's sister who helped explain the apartment.
Beware- Follow their instructions on parking as we dropped our bags off first and then went to park which was a HUGE mistake. We ended up getting stuck in the city for over an hour trying to find it and with parades, roads closed, & people walking everywhere it is a nightmare driving in the city walls.
Overall great stay & would highly recommend for anyone staying in Siena.
The apartment was in a great location where we could walk everywhere. The beds were hard and there was no air conditioning. Once we got a fan, the master bedroom was more comfortable.
We didn't have much contact with our host but didn't really need much.
We tremendously enjoyed our stay at Valentina’s apartment and our interactions with her before and during our stay. The apartment is located in a charming part of Siena that has a real air of local authenticity even though it is located less than 200 metres from the entrance to the Duomo. Inside, the apartment is spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, and well-appointed with a very functional kitchen (including a dishwasher and an espresso machine), a clothes washer, cable TV, and wi-fi internet. We were visiting Siena with our one-year old son and we really appreciated both the modern conveniences as well as the ample space in the apartment. The apartment affords some spectacular views of an adjoining square as well as the Tuscan countryside beyond. There is a small local market located just a two-minute walk away from the apartment for those interested in self-catering, while some of the very best restaurants in Siena are within a short walk of the apartment as well. Our interactions with Valentina and her sister Elena, who handled our check-in, were extremely pleasant. We had the misfortune to miss a connecting flight to Rome but Valentina and Elena adjusted their schedules to meet us at our new arrival time. We recommend Valentina and her apartment without reservation, and we hope to be back there again soon!
Valentina and her family were great hosts. Although our contact was primarily with Valentina, her sister Elena actually handled the check in with us. Good communication, and very flexible in terms of check-in and check out (which worked for us because we needed to leave very early in the morning on check out). Elena even made a great recommendation for a free parking spot relatively near the apartment (no small thing, since you can't park within the City walls, and the pay lots in the area are 2 euros an hour with no daily maximum)
The apartment itself is in a small piazzetta that is a short, easy walk to all the sites (2 minute walk to the Duomo and 5 minutes to Il Campo, for example), and barely 100 m from the escalators to the City walls/parking area (something to appreciate when having to carry luggage to or from the rental car). Very quiet in the evenings (which we appreciated travelling with an infant). An absolutely great location for exploring Siena.
The apartment was very clean and well-appointed, with good, modern amenities. The Wi-Fi worked very well throughout the apartment. Also, lots of windows with good light. Great apartment for the cost, and I would absolutely recommend staying here for someone looking to visit Siena.
