I was traveling through on a last minute trip and needed a place to sleep for the night. I arrived very late, let myself in with the key in a lock box, and left after Yogi Rob had left for the day, so didn't get to meet him or interact with him or his dog. Nice quite stay.
The room was a SEPARATE room from the Yoga Studio with a lock on the door. I was not required to sleep in the living room/studio.
It was a clean unpretentious place to stay. I would have liked to have a real bed, instead of an Air Mattress, but it wasn't uncomfortable. That was my bad, not taking notice of the specified bed type.
Yogi Rob did very well with communications and with directions. MUCH better than staying in a cheep motel for sure!
Did have sensty things in the house, they didn't bother me, but people who are sensitive to such things, might not like it.
I am grateful for your feedback I can't be a better host without it. When you arrived the sign said please take off your shoes, because of your feedback the sign now says please enter our home and then take off your shoes if they're dirty.
I have had yoga students complain about incense, next time I have a guess I will ask them if sensty thing bother them. You said, It was a clean unpretentious place to stay. That means so much to me. Thank you please come back any day. The light in me honors the light in you Namaste :)
I was very uncomfortable arriving at this location. The "yoga studio" is the living room and the only thing in there when I walked in was a "swing" and a bar hanging from the ceiling. The overly pungent smell from what he was cooking (some soup and dog food he said) about made me want to gag. The backyard was full of leaves, no where to sit outside and of no use whatsoever. I left and did not go back. I was declined reimbursement by the owner for my four days fee which I paid in advance. I would not recommend this location.
He is generous and intriguing host. The house is cozy and clean. He has a dog but it is no problem. I recommend his house positively. Thanks.
Yogi Rob is a great host. I was staying for a single night in Salem and taking a state exam the next day. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. Rob has most things in the house labeled and signed so that it is easy for guests to navigate.
I had a very pleasant stay at Rob's. The setting is very peaceful, and Rob is a genial and easygoing host.
Perfect place to land. Yogi is very gracious and helpful. A wonderful host!!! If I need a place to stay in Salem I will be booking here again!
Rob (Yogi) was a wonderful host with an INCREDIBLE life story! He made sure my stay was comfortable and was very helpful and nice my entire stay. I'll definitely be back again soon and I hope that when I am it's during a day where I can join in on the yoga class!!!
More than ideal for any person on a budget!!!! YogiRob is such a gracious host, he makes you feel like a housemate, not a guest. He shared freely spices and oil for cooking, gave us complete access to his kitchen - with Vitamix- and yard with a BarBQ, even made a delicious "cheesecake" and gave us each a piece to take on the road with us. The room is clean and comfortable, has a recliner and a bed, a nice closet. The bathroom is as expected, with fresh wonderful soft towels each day. Thank you so much!
Amazing host! His house was very clean, organized and easy to navigate through. He gave us really clear instructions about our room, how to operate the shower, and etc. We only stayed one night, but if we were there longer, we would have been happen to stay there for the length of it.
Rob is also very proactive about how to improve his guest's experience by asking for constructive criticism. I didn't have a problem at all so overall we had an excellent stay.
Rob is a great host. He is proactive about all the details of getting to his place and sets expectations that he exceeds. I was happy to have a clean, comfortable and affordable room to restore in while I set my daughter up for her year at college. The backyard is beautiful and Rob is a kind and accepting host. I would have like to have had the time to take one of his yoga classes..maybe next time :)
