My husband and I stayed at Grandpa's Cottage over the Easter break. Diane is a friendly host, and the communication with her in the lead up and during our stay was great.
The Cottage is cosy and very well equipped and in such a tranquil and quiet location. We loved seeing the kangaroos visit the property at either end of the day, and hearing the sea in the evenings. Very idyllic. Highly recommended. Phone reception is limited on the property.
My husband and I stayed at Grandpa's Cottage while we were visiting the South Coast for a wedding. The cottage was excellent, very homey and well fit out. We had some very curious rainbow lorikeets visit us in the morning to eat some seed that Diane had left out, which was a really nice touch. Absolutely beautiful area. We'd definitely recommend staying at Grandpa's Cottage, and will ourselves again next time we're in the area. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
Grandpa's cottage was beautiful, wildlife in abundance, fruit and vegetables from the home grown garden and beautiful beaches nearby. Diane was a wonderful host, very friendly and the communication was great. Would recommend this place if you're traveling Sydney's south coast.
Our first airbnb stay and if this is an example, then I'm sold! A great little cottage for a getaway. Diane was helpful without being intrusive and the place was tranquil, private, very clean and very well equipped which was a nice surprise. Bedroom was fairly "cosy" so may be a concern to some but bed was very comfortable and ceiling fan made for a cool room. Lots of information and brochures provided to help with things to do but we were there for the beaches and the fishing so maybe next time! Would definitely recommend and will be back again... PS watch out for the kangaroos if driving in the evening/night and forget your mobile and laptop as reception is intermittent at best.
My friend and I had a wonderful weekend at Grandpa's Cottage. Diane was very welcoming and friendly, as always, and the cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay at the coast. We highly recommend Grandpa's Cottage. Thanks Diane for being a great host - see you next time!
Diane was great was not intrusive but was around when you needed her. Neighbourhood was lovely and description was accurate.
Grandpa's Cottage is set in a lovely location in a park like area that had neatly mowed lawns that had Kangaroos nibbling away at them the evenings that we were (website hidden) abundance of birds live in the surrounds including eagles that we could hear but never actually saw. The cottage is as described and is very compact but adequate for two people. We had breakfast on the balcony and found the whole experience charming. We never actually saw Diane to speak to but as her house was about 50 meters away we could see her if we needed her. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks very much Diane.
