I had a great time at Faez's. I came in all the way from Kenya on a 21 hour flight for the Wharton Welcome Wkend, and showed up at his door quite early. He took me in, no issues. He's quite chilled, and really let's you be. He's passionate abt Philly, so can share a lot of insights - including the best coffee I've tasted ever around the corner.
The den is nice and comfy, full satellite TV, temperature control. Entire apartment is clean. The location is quite good for Penn - always a 10-15 min drive to campus, and if I walked (I was lazy), probably about 25 min.
For me, it was great value for money, and I made a friend. Thanks Faez!
This was an awesome Airbnb experience that far surpassed my expectations. The place is in the heart of Philly and it was very easy to get in and out of Center City. There were also a ton of cool places to explore within a few blocks of the condo.
Although the location was a big part of why I chose the place, it was Faez that made it an experience that I hope all Airbnb guests will have. He was a very thoughtful and accommodating host and went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. I was in town for a psychology conference and Faez, an academic himself, made for great conversation. He was even kind enough to invite me out to dinner with him and his lovely girlfriend. This is a great place for any academics traveling for conferences.
Faez was an excellent host throughout my stay. He provided me with everything I needed including a winter coat as the weather was rather cold during the several days I was in Philadelphia. The accommodations were as described. I had the entire basement to myself which was comfortable and cozy. The neighbourhood was fairly close to the city centre, about 25 minutes walking or 10 minutes by cab. Overall, I would highly recommend Faez's home for anyone visiting Philadelphia.
Faez was very accommodating when I had to book a room on super short notice. The only time I saw him was when I checked in. As a female staying there I felt perfectly safe with the area and with Faez and his roommate. It was about a 25 minute walk from the Medical Arts Building.
About the Host, Faez
I'm a research scientist at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I'm a big fan of Philly and I believe all who visit this historic town will truly love it. I'm also an avid traveler myself.
