I didn't want to leave!!!
Gorgeous "old Beirut" apartment smack bang in the middle of Mar Mikhael and all the hipster bars and cafes.
Although Nicola wasn't there, Lina and Charbel really go out of their way to make you feel completely welcome and lots of laughs were had.
Lina was always on hand to help with any problems that may arise.
Highly recommend it!!
I stayed one week and a half in this beautiful flat! The place was perfect for me: calm, central, clean and very charming. A great adress in Beirut :)
Giacomo was an excellent host, both at the apartment and walking about the city. He's very knowledgeable about Beirut and is the perfect guide for someone who is looking to know more about the area.
Location is great--very safe-feeling neighborhood, and lots of options for drinking and eating within a minute of the apartment.
Internet is a bit slow, but you can always go across the street to any one of the numerous bars/cafes and use theirs for free.
When you're looking for a great airbnb experience in Beirut, this is a place well worth going for.
A fabulous place to stay when you want to discover Beirut.
My host Giacomo (who looks after the apartment when Nicola is not in Beirut) is a great person who was very open and friendly.
He introduced me to a lot of different people and showed me interesting places. Which made my trip so much more than a quick superficial visit.
The apartment is located in a lively neighborhood. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. And within a half hour walk you're in downtown Beirut. At the same time, the apartment is not directly situated on the main road, which makes the apartment relatively quiet.
Although it is not all shiny and new, it is nice and clean and it has an abundance of authenticity, character and style.
All in all: I had a great time here. Will go back without any hesitation.
Great place to stay if you want to discover Beirut. Clean, big, centrally located place. Flexible, kind and trustworthy hosts. I will be back!
(When we arrived, there seemed to have been a slight miscommunication. But the way they quickly solved that, was for me the proof that these people are the ones you're looking for while staying in a AirBNB home. Well done!!)
The reservation was canceled 32 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
the apartment is situated in a great location, full of bars and nice people.
thanks to Giacomo I felt like I wasn't a tourist.
he introduced me in Beirut's real life.
he and his friend Charbel treated me as if I were an old friend.
thanks a lot :)
