About this listing
Situated 10 mins walk from Bondi Beach & within reach of King's Cross/the city, this art-filled apartment is a great base from which to explore Sydney's attractions. The private Queen-sized room overlooks a courtyard garden, making it a zen haven.
As well as being near the beach, the apartment is close to several bus stops and only 10 minutes from Bondi Junction train station, so it's easy to reach the city or to explore the best of Sydney including the Blue Mountains.
In a quiet and convenient spot, with all activities of Bondi within walking distance, it's a great spot to chill out in Sydney’s gorgeous eastern suburbs.
Guests have access to a private double room, with a queen sized bed and built in wardrobes. Offering lots of space and privacy, the room overlooks a courtyard garden so you might glimpse a flower if the timing is right. Fresh linen and towels are provided, as well as some recommendations as to what is on around town.
Bondi is Australia's most famous beach, and a fantastic place to surf, dive, swim or snorkel, or simply take in the breathtaking sea views that Sydney's Eastern Suburbs are famous for.
Bondi also has fantastic food and nightlife. There are great restaurants, take away, a wine shop and delis within a few minutes’ walk up the road, as well as relaxing massage and other amenities to accommodate the weary traveller. See my guidebook for recommendations - https://www.airbnb.com.au/manage-listing/863219/#guidebook
The beach is a 10 minute walk away and public transport (bus, train) is also close by for getting to the Junction or city. A ricketty but roadworthy bicycle is also available for guest use.
Other Things to Note
A one year old puppy named Dashiell lives here. He is very friendly and house trained. He is also hypoallergenic and shed-less, so good for people with allergies. He is not supposed to go into the guest bedroom.
A laundry with washer and dryer is available for use. Free WiFi is also on premises.
I work Monday to Friday in communications but interior design is my main passion. I am a long time yogi so can give you tips if that is of interest - there are some of the world's best teachers in Sydney. Otherwise, I like to chill out with a swim, hanging out or eating (I love food) so I can give you tips on where to eat or drink if that is an interest for you too.
No smoking on premises please, although you can go out to the back garden if you pick up and dispose of your butts.
It is a quiet building so we aim for general consideration towards the other residents of the block, so no parties or washing / drying after 10pm. No additional guests allowed without permission.
I try to be environmentally considerate so we have a compost bin for food scraps (not meat or citrus) and recycling bins for tin and most plastics (the yellow bin), and paper (the blue bin). It's not compulsory to use these but it is encouraged.
The laundry room includes a washer and dryer and to use these, you plug the cord into the designated plug for our unit - this is clearly marked.
A cozy apartment in a quiet neighbourhood. Location is great, as it’s walking distance to Bondi Beach and the bus stop that has buses going into the city every 5 mins. Dash the dog is really clean and friendly, a good companion when i was indoors.
One thing to note, you will need to go down a stairway to get to the apartment, which means you will need to go up the stairway when you leave. Not so good if you are by yourself with heavy luggages.
Caroline is a very friendly and welcoming host. We spent three nights in her apartement and felt very comfortable. The location is perfect to enjoy Bondi Beach, nice Cafés and Restaurants are very close.
Caroline was absolutely great. The apartment was extremely clean and welcoming. She left a thoughtful series of maps and reviews in my room as well as a chocolate.
Her help and guidance was most appreciated. I felt extremely welcomed and I loved having Dash around.
The laundry facilities here are easily accessible and user friendly. The neighborhood feels safe and busy but not loud.
This apartment has great access (pleasant 10-minute walk) to the beach and Hall street restaurants or a shorter walk to Bondi Road. I took transit everywhere from here, including the airport. It's awesome.
Dash is a sweetheart. A quiet lover of a dog who doesn't shed.
Truly the best stay of my trip. Zen and relaxing.
Only stayed for one day but Caroline's place is very cute, especially with her lovely doggie. The room is spacious with a big bed. It's walkable distance to the shops and beach. Caroline is very helpful on local tips on eatery and she helped me to arrange the mini bus to go to airport. Great experience!
Carolines' lovely apartment was just as described, clean and tidy providing a perfect haven to spend the long weekend enjoying all that Bondi and Sydney has to offer. The apartment is in a super location close to everything you may need (restaurants, shops and transport) but removed from the touristy bustle of the main Bondi drag.
Caroline was away for the first few days of my stay but had left everything that I may have needed for an enjoyable stay. Comfy bed, towels, Opal card and a great list of recommendations for places to eat etc (I made use of a few of these and was glad I did.)
It was great to meet Caroline and Dash on my last day, both of whom are friendly and hospitable. I would happily recommend Carolines zen haven for anyone wanting to enjoy what Bondi and Sydney have to offer. Thanks Caroline!
Staying with Carolyn and her dog was very easy and comfortable. Communication channels were a little difficult and confusing so I'd suggest communicating directly with Carolyn's contact details rather than via the airbnb email confirmation. I highly recommend the Bondi to Coogee seaside walk, it's sensational!
Caroline was a great host who provided a clean, warm and cosy apartment along with Dash who made me fell relaxed and welcomed. Her place is very well located and she was very accommodating as I had a late flight into Sydney and provided clear direction to find my way there.
About the Host, Caroline
Hi. I work in communications for a bank but study interior design, which is my main passion. I am a long time yogi and can provide advice to those wishing to practice yoga around Sydney - there are some world-class teachers here.
I love to swim and often am down at Icebergs for a lap, or gathering with friends to do a Bondi bay swim. Otherwise, I love film and music.
I have travelled far and wide and am ever curious about new places and people. I hope to offer you a home that lets you explore Sydney but provides a comfortable base for you to regroup and relax
I look forward to meeting like-minded souls soon!
