St Kilda is the centre of the centre of the worlds most liveable city. The apartment is in the middle of the, cake, coffee, didning, beach, shopping, cycling, fun spots. Public transport is right outside your door and takes you all over Melbourne.

The Space

Our apartment is in an ideal location overlooking leafy Fitzroy St St Kilda. It is a short tram ride from the city and just a walk to the beach, Luna Park, Albert Park, Ackland St and the fantastic life of Melbourne. There are four fantastic restaurants down stairs and lots more over the road. The iconic Prince of Wales Hotel is over the road along with De Stasio and Mirkas is 100 m away.

This one bedroom air-conditioned apartment is on the first floor and there is a lift. It has one light and bright bedroom with built in robe. The adjacent bathroom has shower, basin, toilet and washing machine and drier.

The living room has a full kitchen with Smeg appliances, microwave and dishwasher. It has all the pots, pans, cutlery, glassware and china one needs.

It easily sleeps 2 and the couch opens up to make a double bed for the kids or two more. We provide free Wi-fi. A flat screen TV is mounted on the living room wall and a docking station is available to plug your ipod into. We can supply a cot and fold up camp bed for extra kids or babies at no charge. We can also supply a heater if you find the aircon isn't warm enough.

The adjacent nightlife can be noisy but through the day it is delightfully sunny, fairly quiet (the trams run past the front door) and comfortable. A Copenhagen style bike path runs by the front door, along Fitzroy St.

A huge balcony provides views over the tree lined street and St Kilda life and trams, and is a delight on which to lounge and enjoy the passing parade..

This apartment is ideal for making the most of Melbourne. There is no parking within the complex but we never need it in Melbourne as the public transport is excellent and the airport shuttle or combination of the Skybus and number 96 tram deliver one to the front door from the airport.

Free street parking is available all day within 500 m of the apartment.

There are many extras like fishing gear, beach towels, beach tent, craft equipment, kids toys and books, picnic basket and rug, champagne glasses, diswasher and laundry detergents, cleaing products,..... indeed everything one would find in a home.

This apartment is not a hotel, we use it often and the pantry has lots of day to day pantry items, which you are welcome to use. They include extra virgin olive oil, spices, pasta, rice, tinned essentials, tea, coffee, cereal, flour, sugar, dry biscuits, etc. Let me know if there are any other pantry items you'd like and, within reason, I wont charge for them.

The beach and Catani Gardens are just two blocks away. An Adventure Playgroud is just 500 m away. I could go on but this really is a perfect little gem of an apartment and ideal for making the most of St Kilda and Melbourne.

Guest Access

The apartment is fully self contained and has security access.

Interaction with Guests

I'm on the end of the phone and email but you probably wont see me. I reply promptly and deal with every need efficiently.

The Neighborhood

This place is simply amazing! It's bright, private and yet in the middle of everything Melbourne has to offer.

Getting around

Trams are right outside the door. Tram number 96 is Melbourne's most used line and you can watch it from the balcony. The airport shuttle stops at the front door.

Other Things to Note

We take great pride in providing a clean comfortable private home for our guests. We've had many reviews and they've all been 5 star. Read them. You'll love this place.

  • This is a great little apartment on the periphery of Melbourne. Great access to Melbourne's tram system, and a short walk to the beach.

Having a kitchen stocked with essentials, both food and utensils was a great touch. Having the bathroom stocked with soap, shampoo, toothbrushes etc was also a useful touch.

    Enjoyed the stay.

  • Perfect Location in St Kilda for our short stay. Everything you need is there in this home.

  • Stravoula's city should be the yardstick on how all bnb should be! My wife and I have such an enjoyable time there. The house is complete with everything that you need. The location is central to the city or for a nice walk at st kilda beach and botanical garden. Though it might be a bit noisy at night but it wasn't a big problem to us. Shops and restaurants as well as public transport were a stones throw away.

I highly recommend all of you to take this place for your stay in melbourne!

  • Perfect apartment to explore Melbourne! Yes, it's noisy but it's also situated very well, just next to the beach and across the street from the very good italian restaurant "Di Stasio" (go there for their lunch offer!) And Stavroula was a great host. She even brought up a cot for our son.

  • We stayed at Stavroula's City Pad for one week beginning on Good Friday and ending on ANZAC Day. It was a busy time in St Kilda given the number of public holidays but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The apartment is in a terrific spot. What you see on the website is what you get, and Stavroula's instructions and directions are very clear. I hired a car for 2 days and had no trouble finding the free parking on Park St. I can recommend this accommodation for anyone wanting to stay central and have easy access to Melbourne's terrific public transport system.

  • Really glad that my first trial of "airbnbing" went perfect.
I came to melbourne with my family i.e me, wifey and 2 small kids. The studio size suits perfectly for 4 of us with a bed + sofa bed. The host is very accomodating. Kitchenware really help us feel at home for Breakfast n dinner.
Superb location for those who likes the neigbourhood area more than cbd area. Trams at only the doorsteps, yes i mean trams in plural.
About the noise, its just a norm for st kilda and it doesnt bother us much. (website hidden) watsapping, n instagram to family n friends back in malaysia with 10mb wifi is just so convenience.
The only problem probably goes to parking. But i only rent a car a day before checked out. Theres nearby street parking along the park street, first come first serve.
Anyway, we really enjoy the stay in st kilda in that superb city pad. Fantastic location!!
    Thanks to the host, stavroula.

  • Stavroula's City Pad was amazing! The apartment is wonderful, the location is perfect, and the large terrace is a relaxing place to enjoy the sights and sounds of St Kilda!

Stavroula was a wonderful host! The apartment was in perfect condition; clean, neat, and organized. On first arrival I had a small issue picking up the keys and Stavroula called me immediately and worked it out! This was my first experience with AirBNB, and I'm so happy it was this positive!

I suspect I'll be staying here next time I'm in Melbourne!

  • What a great little apartment! It had everything I needed for my 3 night stay in Melbourne. Fantastic location right near St Kilda Pier with some great little cafes and bars nearby. The tram is a stones throw from the front door and takes you straight into the city. The noise from the pub across the road carried on until late but it was nothing a pair of earplugs couldn't sort out. I would definitely stay again!

Oh, the party life of St Kilda!!! Do come back though Christina.

Jo and I are a professional couple and have two sons and five grandchildren. We've lived in Melbourne all our lives (almost, I migrated from Greece at 5 years of age) until a few years ago when we moved to Tasmania for work. We use the appartment as our Melbourne "city pad" when we return to visit the grandchildren, and we both love this most liveable of cities.
