About this listing
This apartment is in the middle of the, cake, coffee, dining, beach, shopping, cycling, fun spots. Public transport is right outside your door and takes you all over Melbourne. Light, bright sunny luxury apartment all to yourselves.
Our apartment is in an ideal location overlooking leafy Fitzroy St St Kilda. It is a short tram ride from the city and just a walk to the beach, Luna Park, Albert Park, Ackland St and the fantastic life of Melbourne. There are four fantastic restaurants down stairs and lots more over the road. The iconic Prince of Wales Hotel is over the road along with De Stasio and Mirkas is 100 m away.
This one bedroom air-conditioned apartment is on the first floor and there is a lift. It has one light and bright bedroom with built in robe. The adjacent bathroom has shower, basin, toilet and washing machine and drier.
The living room has a full kitchen with Smeg appliances, microwave and dishwasher. It has all the pots, pans, cutlery, glassware and china one needs.
It easily sleeps 2 and the couch opens up to make a double bed for the kids or two more. We provide free Wi-fi, TV. also we can supply a cot and fold up camp bed for extra kids or babies at no charge. We can also supply a heater if you find the aircon isn't warm enough.
The adjacent nightlife can be noisy but through the day it is delightfully sunny, fairly quiet (the trams run past the front door) and comfortable. A Copenhagen style bike path runs by the front door, along Fitzroy St.
A huge balcony provides views over the tree lined street and St Kilda life and trams, and is a delightful spot to lounge and enjoy the passing parade.
This apartment is ideal for making the most of Melbourne. There is no parking within the complex but we never need it in Melbourne as the public transport is excellent and the airport shuttle or combination of the Skybus and number 96 tram deliver one to the front door from the airport.
Free street parking is available all day within 500 m of the apartment.
There are many extras like fishing gear, beach towels, beach tent, craft equipment, kids toys and books, picnic basket and rug, champagne glasses, dishwasher and laundry detergents, cleaning products,..... indeed everything one would find in a home.
This apartment is not a hotel, we use it often and the pantry has lots of day to day pantry items, which you are welcome to use. They include extra virgin olive oil, spices, pasta, rice, tinned essentials, tea, coffee, cereal, flour, sugar, dry biscuits, etc. Let me know if there are any other pantry items you'd like and, within reason, I wont charge for them.
The beach and Catani Gardens are just two blocks away. An Adventure Playgroud is just 500 m away. The fairy penguins and Luna Park are just 500 m away. I could go on but this really is a perfect little gem of an apartment and ideal for making the most of St Kilda and Melbourne.
The apartment is fully self contained and has security access and a lift.

This place is simply amazing! It's bright, private and yet in the middle of everything Melbourne has to offer.
Trams are right outside the door. Tram number 96 is Melbourne's most used line and you can watch it from the balcony. The airport shuttle stops at the front door.

Jo and I are a professional couple and have two sons and five grandchildren. We've lived in Melbourne all our lives (almost, I migrated from Greece at 5 years of age) until a few years ago when we moved to Tasmania for work. We use the appartment as our Melbourne "city pad" when we return to visit the grandchildren, and we both love this most liveable of cities.
Jo and I have travelled the world many times . Jo has even been to Antarctica 8 times. We've travelled Europe, the US, and China. We've made several trips through Asia, and we even drove around Australia in a Commodores sedan with a tent and camping gear. We know how to be comfortable and what makes a place comfortable and inviting.
We've recently built our own home using timber we milled from our own forest and now live on 45 acres with burbling brook and sheep and chooks and we grow most of our own food and honey.
We love meeting people and sharing good wine, good food and good company.
