Apartment in the heart of Frederiksberg overlooking Frederiksberg Garden. the apartment is
88 m2. It contains a large bedroom, a large living room with 2 beds, a large kitchen / dining area and bathroom. The whole apartment is newly renovated. There is an elevator. Private underground parking and functioning laundry room.
The apartment is located close to Copenhagen metro, which take you to the center of Copenhagen. The apartment is close to the café scene, many restaurants and music offerings. Frederiksberg Centre is just around the corner, like Falconer cinema showing the latest movies.
There are also several exciting theater scenes in the neighborhood.
The apartment is very open to both sides with plenty of light and sun on the 2 balconies. Frederiksberg Gardens and Søndermarken is just around the corner. Zoo is 5 minutes away.
All who come here are very excited about the place in summer and winter. The apartment could be your starting point for a great visit in and around Copenhagen
We were not thrilled with our experience at this apartment. We never met the owner, we were only briefly met at the apartment by his son to provide us with keys. We were not given any instructions on the basics of the apartment (ie: garbage/recycling disposal, laundry, dishwasher use, etc.). The apartment was a nice size with large windows, but there were not a lot of lights throughout the apartment. The most unenjoyable aspect of our stay was a horrible smell similar to sulphur coming from the washroom (possibly from the drainage pipes?). We had to keep the back balcony door and all the windows of the apartment open in order for the smell to be bearable.
Finn's apartment is really lovely and perfectly located for touring Copenhagen. A few steps away from the Metro, super shopping streets and great restaurants. The west facing balcony is a real treat and wonderful for evening dining and lounging. The apartment is very spacious and the kitchen well organised and supplied. And Finn is also a great host. We hope to return again!
Apartment is very cosy with a lovely balcony for chilling in the evening. The apartment is spacious with a touch of stylish paintings and statuettes. Location is great, near are the park, mall, metro station and all the little shops and restaurants that you may need.
Really enjoyed my stay there and would definately rent it out again.
This is a fantastic location to use as a base for touring Copenhagen. The city bus system and Metro train system are both only a block away, or if your adventurist, like us you can walk to town in 30 minutes.
The apartment has everything a couple would want to make them feel at home. Including a state of the art cooktop for preparing fresh seafood from the market, a third story porch for great views of the park, and relaxing after a busy day exploring Copenhagen.
Other things we liked about this apartment were the private underground parking, cable TV with a wide selection of channels, and fast Wi-Fi for keeping in touch with family, and it was VERY clean.
We didn’t want to leave! We loved Finn’s apartment in Copenhagen. It’s sunny, warm, comfy, and spacious. Finn has it stocked with all of the kitchen supplies and bed linens you could need. We were charmed by the ringing of the clock tower (the bells mark the hours, followed by a musical tune which differs each hour).
Finn had another commitment at the time we arrived, so he arranged for his personable niece Sara to meet us at the train station and guide us to the apartment. (It’s only a short walk from the Fredericksberg metro station). The next day, Finn came by and showed me where the laundry room is in the basement, and how to operate the washer and dryer. He thoughtfully provided two tokens for the washing machine. I deliberately timed our stay to coincide with Midsummer’s Eve, and Finn gave me information about Midsummer’s bonfires in Tivoili and Fredericksberg Have (Park).
The next day, when we couldn’t figure how to turn on the stove (you have to put a pot/pan on the burner or it won’t turn on), Finn answered our question via e-mail. After that, all went well.
If the row of glass in the living room made the apartment too warm, we simply propped open a window or two to cool down the place. We didn’t need heat, despite the 60 degree and rainy weather we encountered.
The Fredericksberg area is largely a Danish residential area rather (email hidden). As far as I could tell, we were the only Americans around. The neighborhood has loads of restaurants and grocery stores to choose from, and there’s a movie theatre close by (we saw “Man of Steel” while we were there, with the original English-speaking actors plus Danish subtitles). We soon learned that virtually everyone in the area understands English and is willing to help out. There’s a flea market in a nearby plaza (you can see it from the rear balcony) each Saturday morning during the summer months.
You can reach virtually anywhere in Denmark from here, since the Metro connects to the long-distance trains. The #26 bus, which stops across the street from Fredericksberg Have, takes you into downtown Copenhagen, stopping at Tivoli and the Radhusplasen (City Hall Square). Stroget begins on the opposite side of the Radhusplasen. Train and busfare is fairly expensive by American standards, costing 24DKK (about $4.40USD) one-way for the fairly short ride to downtown. Because of this, it may be worth buying a Copenhagen Card (which gives you free admission to a number of attractions and free transportation on the Metro, buses and commuter trains).
The only imperfection to this apartment is the kitchen’s lack of a microwave. Doesn’t every man in this day and age use a microwave? Nevertheless, we absolutely loved this apartment and would definitely stay there again. Five stars!
Great apartment - bright, light, sunny and warm. A large balcony overlooking a beautifully landscaped garden courtyard. Quiet neighborhood with good restaurants and easy access to the metro.
Lovely apartment in great location with balconies on both sides. Everything was very clean and tidy when we arrived and Finn our host was helpful and accommodating. Freidricksberg park is just round the corner as is the metro and there is a great restaurant/bar Sokkelund opposite the entrance to the park easy for a first night option.
Beautiful flat in a charming section of Copenhagen. The views from the porch were spectacular. The whole neighborhood was very people oriented. Finn was so kind, he came out on the street to greet us and help guide us from the Metro station. He left us maps and resources to help us negotiate the city. It is a lovely place to stay and I would reccomend it to anyone going to Copenhagen.
finn was an excellent host, everything went very well with the rental, we stayed at his lovely apartment for three nights early may, the weather was nice at that time and we enjoyed his very sunny balcony by the kitchen in the morning and equally sunny balcony by the lounge in the evening. the apartment is so well located in the frederiksberg area, metro, irmas (quality supermarket), very nice cafes, sushi bars, design stores, the big park, zoo, etc, all on the doorstep......cant wait to go back to copenhagen and stay at hopefully stay at finns again......highly recommended.....thank you very much finn.
We loved Finn's apartment! It was an incredibly comfortable, tastefully decorated, pleasing space in a great location. The kitchen had all we needed and the two balconies provided great light and a sense of spaciousness. We also enjoyed his wonderful carvings from Greenland. Finn was a gracious host who met us at the metro and helped with our luggage for the short walk to his place, He called after the first night to make sure everything was O.K. and was available by telephone when we had a question. Overall, it was a great experience. Thanks Finn for helping make our stay in Copenhagen so wonderful!
