This is a beautiful, furnished 1 bdrm in an old lower garden district mansion. Perfect location to get to the French Quarter and Uptown New Orleans. 3 blocks from the street car! Cafes, restaurants, bars, boutiques--all within blocks!
Short and long stays available! Message me!
This apartment is located in the Lower Garden District in New Orleans. This is seconds away from the historic Garden District, where many celebrities live, and also home to Lafayette Cemetery and Commander's Palace, among other attractions.
It is much quieter than the French Quarter, but there are a multitude of great restaurants, bars, and shops that are often better (and almost always Cheaper) than what you'll find in the Quarter. Plus your a 10 minute streetcar or bus ride away from downtown. And I sometimes have one bicycle available ($5 per day), but please contact me to inquire.
It is a one bedroom apartment located conveniently in the Lower Garden District between Magazine and St Charles.
See calendar for nightly rates.
1 month price $1400
1 week price $400
The apartment is fully FURNISHED.
RECORD PLAYER & RECORDS
4 blocks from ST CHARLES STREET CAR and MARDI GRAS PARADES (WEDS, THURS).
EASY ACCESS to SUPER DOME
The apartment is divided into two rooms---a furnished bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed, spacious closet, and a bedside table--and a very large living room with beautiful wooden floors, high ceilings, and an old-school fireplace and mantel, bookshelves, a futon couch, and a TV for watching VHS (I have a collection of about 30) --There is also a record player, a bookcase full of books, a stocked kitchen, and a bathroom. Sheets, pillows, and blankets are included.
The apartment is located four blocks from St Charles (this is where the majority of Mardi Gras parades take place) and the streetcar line that will take you into the French Quarter in 15 minutes, and two blocks from Magazine, where there are many restaurants, bars, cafe, clothing and antique shops. It is also easy to get to the Super Dome from St Charles street car line.
This is a great, safe, fun section of New Orleans to stay in.
Local RESTAURANTS, CAFES and BARS include:
The Half Moon
Jaun's Flying Burrito
Down the Hatch
St Charles Ave Pub
2 Excellent Vietnamese Restaurants
The Reservoir Cafe
kitchen, stove, fridge, window AC unit, books, desk, queen sized bed, toaster....
The Lower Garden District is full of coffee shops, boutiques, great restaurants and bars. It's perfectly located to get downtown to the French Quarter in 15 mins using either the street car or bus, or Uptown to Audobon Park, the Zoo and Tulane and Loyola Universities. But there's so much going on within walking distance of the apt, you might never have to leave the neighborhood!
Bus and streetcar are both respectively 2 and 4 blocks from the apt.
Nate was very nice and provided everything that we needed. Place is older but perfect for what we needed. We weren't in the apartment very much so our needs were satisfied. Might be very hot in the dead of summer due to the A/C being a window unit, but I will rent from him again!!
Can't beat the location and the friendly locals. Wish we could've spent a little more time at the apt but there was just too much to do!! Would definitely recommend staying at Nates to anyone. Thanks Nate!!
The joint was perfect for what I needed!
Really great neighbourhood filled with brilliant cafe spots and ace bars.
A nice solid walk into Canal St and French Quarter.
Which as good for me because I like to walk.
The apartment itself was super for me.
Good music situation with record player and speakers for laptop.
Crummy VHS selection which was PERFECT.
Never met Nate as he was in Mexico.
But would stay here again.
Awesome house, super chill and low-key. Got boned a little bit with the WiFi but we were exploring NoLa most of the time so it didn't matter. Otherwise, everything was great!
Nate was a great host. He was responsive and easy to contact.
The location is great and no noise issues whatsoever.
Nate went out of his way to accommodate my complicated travel schedule and made sure that i could get into the space upon arrival. The apartment felt like home as soon as I walked in, and the neighbourhood is great, easy access to bars and restaurants and cafes and lots of friendly folks around.
The apartment is in a good location, easy access to streetcars. The apartment itself is very basic, has everything we needed but could be cleaner. Also none of the windows opened thus no air circulation. Enjoyed the record player and record collection

My name is Nathaniel Kostar. I am originally from New Jersey and currently living in and loving New Orleans.
After college I traveled extensively. Costa Rica, Italy, France, Scotland, Thailand, and South Korea are some of the places I have lived and worked. I am an easy-going person and can help you with whatever you need in New Orleans--from recommendations on good places to eat to bringing you to see my favorite bands in the city. This is my favorite city in the world so I love to show it to people who are open-minded and want an 'authentic' experience.
My apartment is in The Lower Garden District in a beautiful area nestled between St Charles Avenue and Magazine Street. Easy public transportation (bus and streetcar) will take you to downtown and the French Quarter in 15 minutes. There are also tons of shops, restaurants, and bars right in this area--as well as the beautiful and historic Garden District. It is great for walking and biking.
