The space

Enjoy your comfortable stay in Rathcam, a 19th Century traditional farmhouse located in the idyllic lake county of Westmeath. Surrounded by maturing oak, beech and other broadleaved forestry, with a long tree-lined avenue, it makes the ideal place to get away from it all and unwind. Peace in the Heart of Ireland!
In this Bed and Breakfast expect to be greeted by a friendly, hospitable host and her family, many animals including dogs, cats, sheep and even donkeys! Here one can experience life on the farm, with free range and organic breakfast in the conservatory or the garden, weather permitting, and comfortable eclectic rooms.
We can cater for most dietary requirements including Gluten free, sugar free and vegetarian/ vegan and we all live by a healthy ethos. Evening meals and packed lunches can normally be arranged at an extra cost with a minimum of a day's notice.

Enjoy farm walks and indoor and outdoor games. Stables are available for horses and other pets.
Between N4 and N6, Rathcam is 6 miles/10 km from Mullingar with its art center, many shops, pubs, music and bowling. Riding, golf, fishing and Uisneach, the mystical center of Ireland, are all within 15km.
We have a variety of rooms available, single/family/double. All rooms include breakfast and the advertised rate is per person. We welcome you at all times of the year, warming you in the cold weather with electric blankets and log fires. There is however a surcharge for heating in the winter.

Guest access

Guests can rent bicycles, play pingpong, feed the hens, watch DVDs, walk in the woods and fields or just sit and read in the garden, WIFI available

Diana´s organic farm is a dream. Less than an hour drive from Dublin airport it is a wonderful place to start a journey through Ireland. Everything was as described and we would have loved to stay longer in this cosy place. Diana is a wonderful, far-travelled host with a great passion for her farm and she takes very good care of her guests and animals. Her dogs are nice and well-behaved. We will surely return one day...

Beautiful country house set in a peaceful and tranquil area. Lots of pretty views from bedroom windows over rolling hills and the stable courtyard. The room was large, as described and perfect for our stay. Tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom was an added bonus. There is a communal sitting area for evening relaxation on front of an open fire for guests and a lovely conservatory which is equipped with puzzles, games and jigsaws which we enjoyed. Had a nice short walk through a forested area with the house dogs. Lovely relaxing stay and Diana was the perfect hostess, warm and friendly.

This is our second visit to Diana's Rathcam Organic Farm which certainly speaks for itself. It's lovely, rambling, rich and Diana, herself, incredibly welcoming. I am sure we'll return again. (And again).

A beautiful pastoral setting for a peaceful night. Diana was very helpful and provided us with a delicious supper on our arrival. Our stay was of necessity too short. Not far at all and a welcome diversion off the M6 on our way west.
