The space

This is room 104, aka The childhood paradise room. Open the window to see the central courtyard adorned with potted plants suitable for the windy Hengchun climate.

The children or the child in you will love to climb up to the upper bunk, or hiding at their base camp. The poster on the wall is from Greece, just like the white and blue color scheme in the room, typical of Crete.

It is the only guesthouse on this quiet street, with a shady walkway leading to an old fort wall ruin and South Gate. A block away from the old town street with lots of eateries and shops. Enjoy the quiet evening with a neighboring church and local residences.

Located in the heart of old Heng Chun town, 2 blocks away from the main Heng Chun transit station where you catch an express bus to the high speed rail and other major train stations. Hire a taxi or rent a motorcycle (the most popular form of transportation) near the transit station. Don't forget the helmet!

The only BnB in town that has a large courtyard and a roof top viewing deck. BBQ with the host in the yard, have morning coffee or afternoon tea on the roof top to see the distant Quan Mountain and sunset. It offers more than a room to spend the night.

We booked the room in the last minute. Gwen is very helpful to provide the info and response very quick. She also gave us a lot of useful info about local tourism. The room itself is very clean, value for money. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

I moved from Taiwan to Hawaii at age 14, lived in the US for most of my adult life, interrupted by living a few years in South America and South East Asia. I hope to visit Australia and New Zealand next, since I am so much closer now.

If I have a life motto, that would be "be as open minded as my upbringing and life experience would allow". Oh, love to hear other people's ideas. So talk to me!
