A plant lover's paradise tucked into a private backyard studio guesthouse, your own escape w/ a cal king bed, large pool, hot tub, cabana, and massage chair, not shared, all yours to enjoy! Surrounded by tropical fruit trees, an organic garden, and an aquaponics system, a true botanical hidden oasis. Cannabis-friendly (outdoors only). The space
This is a studio style guest house located in my backyard paradise and includes private entry and private en suite bathroom. Just outside your door is the backyard with dining area, vegetable garden, cabana, massage chair, jacuzzi, and pool all open to enjoy! Smoking allowed outdoors only. 420 friendly.

In the studio, you'll find a comfortable California King size bed, full bathroom, kitchenette, ample closet space, a smart TV with Roku Guest Mode, which means you sign in to your your own streaming service, and free wi-fi. Set with AC, heat, and ceiling fan for maximum comfort.

Safe and convenient parking. Within 1 mile to a bus station, grocery store, and Balboa Lake park. Quiet and friendly neighborhood, and only a couple of miles away from Ventura Blvd with numerous restaurants/bars/shops. 10 minute drive to hiking in beautiful Topanga Canyon.

Convenient access to major freeways- 405 and 101. Easy access to Magic Mountain, The Getty Museum, Universal Studios, and Van Nuys Airport.

3.5 miles from Cal State Northridge / 3.6 miles from Pierce College, 16 miles to Hollywood / 20 miles to Downtown LA / 30 miles to Malibu Beach / 10 miles to Warner Brothers/Universal Studios / 20 miles to LAX Airport

Sorry, no pets allowed. No parties. 2 guest maximum; no visitors. We cannot make any exceptions to this. No film or photo shoots. Please note there is a security camera that records on the driveway gate where you enter. We also have one on the opposite side of the front house, pointing to the street. This is for our safety and monitors people coming in and out of our property. There is no camera in the backyard or inside the guesthouse.

Guest access
Besides the studio, you'll have the entire backyard to yourselves: huge pool (not heated), hot tub, cabana, outdoor dining, and the vegetable gardens. My partner and I live in the main house up front and we stay out of the backyard during your stay. As you can see in the reviews, we take your privacy seriously. This is an intimate space for 2 guests max, no visitors, no parties, no exceptions.

Other things to note
While the guesthouse will always be guaranteed clean and kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, please note that the backyard space is subject to the elements. I try to keep the pool and hot tub as clean as possible, with weekly cleaning service, however it is subject to the occasional leaves or debris from wind, dust, etc. Thank you for your understanding.

Neighborhood highlights

It is a quiet and inviting suburban neighborhood. Balboa park is just down the street and is a very large park with water activities and many trails. Ventura Boulevard is only a few miles away, and is a hotspot for bars, restaurants, and shopping. Please note that Los Angeles is a very wide spread area so we do recommend you have a rental car when visiting.

My partner Hollie and I live in the front house, completely separate from the guesthouse. We’re very mindful of our guests’ privacy, so we don’t use the backyard except for the occasional garden pick. We do love meeting our guests though!
