  • Great apartment, it's quaint, close to everything you will need during your stay in Montreal. The market is across the street, metro station is about three blocks away. Plus the neighborhood, Plateau-Mont Royal has plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants to suit any of your desires. The only downside is that on hot and humid days, the apartment is quite stuffy and hot. It helps to close the blinds and windows, and keep the fans running (there are 2), but it can still be quite hot inside the apartment. In fact, it was cooler outside than inside the building. Other than that, the location and upkeep of the apartment was great, plus Irie was great at responding and addressing any issues that arose.

  • What's not to love? Great price, good size for two people, a nice welcome basket, clean apartment, lovely neighbourhood and very nice and accommodating hosts that communicated well.

    Thanks!

  • The best feature of this property is its location. It was right smack in the. Plateau-Mont Royal area, where many restaurants and cafés are located. And if it isn't within walking distance , it is accessible via METRO. We stayed up late most times meandering around and going to and from downtown (Montreal Jazz Festival) and it was a nice relief to be within minutes of many of our destinations.

A downside (not for us, but perhaps for others who need to be aware): there is no air conditioning in the property. There is 1 fan which we used for the bedroom which we would alternately use in and around the living room area. We happen to be in Montreal at a time when it was hot and humid and even with a fan, we were sweating bullets (sometimes waking up in the middle of the night , with our PJs totally wet with sweat).... It might be a good idea to invest in an air conditioner at least , in the bedroom during these hot and humid times.
Other than that, I wouldn't hesitate one bit on staying at the property again.
Having a regular size frig helped tremendously.
One other minor thing: if you as a guest plan to wash some clothes during your stay, remember to request the key to the laundry area from the owner/Irie and have him include it when retrieving the apartment key.
The main thing was our communication and responses with each other were constant and immediate- truly appreciate this.

I look forward to staying with you again on my next visit to Montreal...

    Response from Irie:

Thank you for your stay. We bought a second fan for the apartment! You stay during the hot days, but it is only few days in the year. Now the temperature had felt already! We have already added the laundry keys in the keys chain so there will be no problem in the future! Thanks again for your feedback!

  • Great location, apartment exactly as advertised. The perfect base for exploring Montreal, and a wonderfully quiet refuge to return to after a long day out.

  • The place was exactly as listed. A wonderful little apartment with comfortable furnishings. It is located literally 3 minutes away from a metro stop and right across from a market. The one downside is that the apartment building is not very well ventilated, and gets very musty/warm during the day. Obviously not an issue if you're traveling in the cooler months, and was never a major issue for us in summer either.

    Would definitely rent again!

    Response from Irie:

Thanks for your stay! You trvale dureing the spring season and there are a lot of pollen around (white thing flying). It is not the building but the weather in general in Montreal. But hopefully there are 2 fans in the appartment!

  • Great location and close to many restaurants and shops. Very convenient to metro and there's a wonderful market right on the corner. The place was very nice and the terrace was a great place for a morning coffee. Would stay here again anytime.
