The Space

This is an incredibly rare and new modern apartment building with an elevator and roof deck in New York City’s Historic East Village for 1-2 adults within a private room. Explore all NYC has to offer while staying in your own beautifully furnished sunny new bedroom with free Wi-Fi, flexible check in and out times, and a daily continental breakfast at your convenience.

Truly live like a New Yorker and enjoy your visit with a city-experienced local. (Don't be fooled or get stuck by the over-crowded, loud tourist areas such as Midtown/Times Square:-)) The East Village is hip and located exactly where you need to be with loads of amazing history. Lots of restaurants, bars, lounges, art, entertainment and shopping not to be missed! Walking distance to the Lower East Side, Soho, and Union Square. Both subway and bus transportation are close by to take you to Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, Washington Square, The West Village, Brooklyn Bridge, Williamsburg, Financial District/World Trade Center site and Ellis Island. Or wherever else you may want to go. The Orange Line F Train (2nd Avenue stop) is just a few blocks away with a entrance on 1st Avenue and 1st Street. There is a bus steps outside my door to take you to the World Trade Center Area.

Your own private room has a full size new bed that sleeps 1-2 persons. There are maps of the city and subway, the "Time Out New York", a table and chair, a nightstand, full-length mirror and a full closet with hangers. I also provide fresh linens and towels all made of 100% quality cotton. Fast internet WI-FI access included. A hair dryer, hand steamer, iron and toiletries are also available for your use if you need it. There is also laundry service available in the building on the ground floor. And if you forget something, it's a very good chance I have it :-)

The room faces East so the sun rise is very bright and welcoming!
You also have 100% Full Rooftop access with Manhattan views to the east, north and south. A lovely full skyline view of the New Freedom Tower at the World Trade Center site. The skyline is open so you can see the moon at night and the stars! No crowded views of close buildings, brick walls or neighbors. :-)
There is a Bank/ATM, 24 Hour Deli, Grocery Store, Dry Cleaner, and a Post Office conveniently located right outside the door! I also have acquired my Grandfather's 13 year old female Shih Tzu "Patches." She is hypoallergenic and does not shed. Patches is super lovingly sweet, quiet and 100% mellow with a very very very calm demeanor who is also respectful. She has been a great addition! (See last photos)

It is important to me that all my guests feel comfortable and at home. I am a happy to provide recommendations, travel directions, ticket printing, and any advice to help make your stay more enjoyable.
Don't hesitate to ask me about anything. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about your upcoming stay. I’m happy to help and welcome you to the NYC! (aka THE BIG APPLE) :-)

  • It was fun staying at Lisa's apartment. Lisa is a great host and was very welcoming. She had great suggestions of things to see and do that only a local can provide. There are lots of great little restaurants, cafes and shops near the apartment. The apartment was really clean and the bedroom very comfortable, andf Patches, her dog, very cute (and quiet!).

  • Lisa is just awesome. Thanks to her I had the best time in NY ever. I felt home right away and not only that, I felt like living with Lisa for ages already. I had a great time with her neighbors, hanging out at Lisa's place or on the rooftop (the rooftop is insane!). The area is perfect, great bars and restaurants are in walking distance. The apt is as on the photos, Patches is a cute companion and there is simply nothing to complain about.

I'm happy to have met Lisa and am really sad that she's leaving this place because otherwise I'd be staying in her place every time from now on!! However, Lisa...I wish you best of luck in your new journey! You'll have a great time!

  • We had such a wonderful time staying in this trendy East Village apartment. An awesome location in the heart of lots of amazing restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. And Lisa gave us lots of inside pointers which was very cool. We definitely want to come back! Thank you for making our NYC trip so memorable!

  • It was fantastic experience staying at Lisa's apartment. The room is clean, cozy and quiet. I could always feel at home and relaxed. She helped me to book the tickets for the activities via internet which saved the time and really helpful. The location is very convenient to go anywhere else in Manhattan using the subway, bus and taxi. I was lucky to be able to find out her room and feel real NY life which is the most valuable experience. I would recommend Lisa's room is the best to stay in NY.

I've been living in the Lower part of Manhattan now for 15 years so I guess you can say I'm quite the "New Yorker" :-) Laid-back, easy going, friendly, respectful; an excellent host with a great sense of humor that is also helpful and knowledgeable. Feel free to ask my any questions about your upcoming stay! I'm happy to help!
