About This Listing
The house is located in the residential area of Diegem near all blue-chip companies and consulting firms. You can easily reach the center of Brussels (North station - Rogier) by train in 10 min or by car in 20 min. The same train keeps going towards Brussels Central and Brussels South Midi. Basically, it's possible to stop in one station, have a good walk in the center and take the train in another station to come back to the house. These 3 major Brussels train stations are connected with many buses, metro and trams facilitating the access to all area of Brussels by public transportation.
The house is divided in 3 floors.
On the ground floor, there is a laundry room (washing machine and dryer) with direct to the back yard, its terrace and nice green grass.
On the first floor, there is a spacious living/dining room (55m2) with fully equipped american kitchen (AEG brand stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster ...). The living room has a large Plasma screen and DVD (website hidden) programs with international channels and fast wireless ADSL Internet are provided for your comfort.
On the second floor, there is a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath) + 2 other rooms and a shared bathroom (nice glass rain shower). Two rooms are furnished with a double bed, the third room serving as an office with desk has a sofa bed. A whole family can easily be accommodated.
By foot, there are a few restaurants and bars and shops.
By car, you can easily access to the ring of Brussels (5 min), NATO (5 min), the international airport at Zaventem (5-10 min, so you may expect to hear some aircrafts from time to time), the Woluwe shopping center (10 min), the center of Brussels (20 min) and the exhibition centers at Laeken Heizel (20 min) as well as the famous 'Atomium'.
Highly spacious and comfortable house, the location is ideal for families and friends who want to discover Brussels and its neighborhood. It is also an excellent alternative to hotels for business travelers. Centrally located and due to proximity with the ring, all regions of Belgium can be reached easily.
Should your stay be longer than 1 week, the house will be cleaned once a week and the bed linens changed. An earlier check in time is possible but this needs to be confirmed.
Now I wish you a comfortable stay at my place and to enjoy all tips left especially for you in the house incl. the great things to do and great culinary experiences in Belgium ...
- No smoking inside the house.
- Pets are not allowed.
MUST SAFETY & ECOLOGY:
- Kindly follow the guidelines about the sorting of the trash (mandatory in Belgium).
- Before leaving the house, kindly verify all lights/electric/gas equipment's are switched of, windows shut and in the event heater has been turned on manually, set it back on timer.
- When leaving the house, always lock the door twice with the key.
- When leaving the house from the garage, always ensure the garage door is shut prior leaving with the car (be careful, the remote is very sensitive - garage door can accidentally be opened with the remote in the pocket of a pant).
- I'd highly appreciate shoes to be taken out prior stepping on the wood floor, especially in the bedrooms.
- I wish all my guests to enjoy good time in my house and to take care of it as they would do with their own house. Many thanks.

Nice Townhouse in Great Location
This townhouse is very nice. It is modern and spacious. Ground floor has a garage and a laundry room with a separate washer and a dryer. First floor (American 2nd floor) has a very nice kitchen, dining area, living room, and half a bath. The top floor has three bedrooms and two baths. As one other reviewer mentioned, there is some airplane noise since it is near the airport, but there does not appear to be much (or any) over night air traffic.
The location of this townhouse cannot be beat. It is located in a suburb inside the ring road very close to the airport. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance. The train station is just a short walk. It is only 10 to 15 minutes by train into Brussels from which you can easily connect for trips to other cities. You can also take the train directly to Leuven. It is also a great location if you have a car because it is easy to get on and off the ring road around Brussels. Since Brussels is centrally located in Belgium, it makes a great base to explore other cities in Belgium. On days we took the train instead of driving, it was nice to know that the car was secure in the garage.
Finally, See Wah is a very responsive and helpful host.
We would definitely stay here again.
See Wah's house is located in a very calm neighborhood not far from Brussels. The rooms are very spacious and well decorated, and the kitchen is over the top. There is plenty of rooms to park your car if the garage is not available. You can walk to convenience stores and to a few restaurants and bars from the house. We were warmly welcomed by Hoang, a friend of See Wah's who is a very nice person, and he made sure all would be going well during our stay.
And all in all the stay there was very good. The only point to know is that if you are looking for the absolute silence, the town is close to the airport, so you may hear the planes taking off during the day. Other than that, this spot is a very good choice to travel around Belgium!
We enjoyed our stay. It was a busy time but we still managed to relax and have fun. Wah's house was clean, family friendly and convenient for us.
The place was as advertised. Very nice, clean and modern townhouse that is very close to the airport. The one big benefit is that the home is located in a very quaint town with a historic church and multiple shops and restaurants. Very quiet and peaceful after a long day at work. I would certainly recommend it and would stay again when I return to Brussels. See Wah (owner) was excellent and responsive.
About the Host, Sw
I live in Belgium, work in the IT industry and enjoy travelling around the globe for work and fun. I love gastronomy, enjoy cooking, receiving guests and pairing food with a good glass of wine ... I wish I can scuba dive again this year. The sensation of being surrounded by thousands of fishes is an incredible colorful and peaceful experience.
I discovered Airbnb last year as guest first in Rome then in Paris. What a fun experience! Definitely more cosy than staying in a hotel. Recenty, I have started to become a host. It is such a great experience to offer your house to visitors! I do everything I can to ensure my guests will appreciate the comfort of the house and fully enjoy their stay in Belgium.
