We live with two cats, Seamus and Muddy. We are a couple in the arts (music, painting, literature). This is a wonderful winter getaway or sanctuary, if you are here to work. Everyone who stays here calls it an oasis. We are well traveled - all fifty states, and many parts of Canada, Europe and Latin America. We welcome people from all corners of the planet into our home and also respect privacy. Strong brewed coffee and well-steeped tea always available.
Honest, respectful reasonable people who are fine with not smoking in the house are welcome. Clean up after yourself as you would visiting a friend. Don't let our cats out.
Heather and Roberto were friendly hosts. Their house was a warm and welcoming place. The place is in a nice spot in Echo Park, close enough to public transport for me to get around Los Angeles. The room was spacious and well kept, also it was a luxury to have my own private bathroom with a shower and etc. I would definitely recommend you stay with Heather and Roberto.
I stayed with Heather and Roberto for around 2 weeks while moving out to LA and greatly enjoyed my time there. They were great guests, both very friendly, and had lots of great suggestions for things to do around LA and places to check out for furniture etc. Their place is awesome and very cool and breezy up in the Echo Park Hills and they have two very friendly cats. Would highly recommend them to anyone!
I only had two nights in L.A. which is why I was out of the house for most of the time. Heather was waiting for me to arrive, showed me around the house, my room and answered all the questions I had. She and Roberto made me feel very comfortable. The room is spacious and light and very quiet. The neighborhood is nice, hilly but pretty easily accessible.
Heather and Roberto are superb hosts who made me feel very welcome. They were so fun to chat with and gave me some great advice about how to explore Los Angeles in the way I wanted. Wish I could've hung out with them longer!
My second stay with Heather and Roberto was as delightful as the first. They are welcoming. The room is comfortable and spacious. And one feels at home in the house as a whole. And there is the view from the windows and porches of this hilltop dwelling add to the enjoyment of the space.
Thank you so much Heather and Roberto, for your wonderful hospitality. I felt like I found some kindred spirits, and your home and your neighbourhood were just delightful. It's nice to have found some new friends!
Heather & Roberto did everything to make my stay in Echo Park an incredible experience. The room was clean, spacious, full of sunlight, and the bed was really comfy. The ensuite bathroom was private, and equipped with everything you'd need. They were extremely hospitable and open to sharing their kitchen with me. I loved their cats too!
In particular, I loved Echo Park and would recommend the location to anyone visiting LA. There's no better place to enjoy it than Heather and Robertos home. My only complaint was that I couldn't stay longer.
